I find I have trouble really enjoying listening to songs others have sang, that I heard him sing first. There is something in the quality of his voice that is just powerful, not loud but strong, with the ability to hold, rise or fall as naturally as breathing. Unlike others I've seen he doesn't strain his face or move awkwardly he just sings, its what he was meant to do and it's truly amazing to watch.

Look up his "Av Harochamim" its even more brilliant rendition, i just watched it on you tube, my eyes are still wet, he is an amazing Cantor with a big range sweet ringy powerful tenor voice one of a kind

this is a brilliant rendition...the recording of Pinchik doing raza d'shabbos is still probably the most soul busting piece of chazanus i've ever heard, but this comes close....

I'm sitting at my computer totally moved by this great young talent. I first heard Cantor Stark at the annual Cantor's Covnention in Rye, NY and again at Lincoln Center in 2003. He is truly one of the greats of our generation. Thank you Cantors World for introducing him to us.

I saw Chazzan Stark daven at his shul in NYC. I had never seen or felt anything like it. He doesn't perform for the congregation, he speaks to G-D and happens to let us listen. Thank you for posting this video! If you have more, please post more!

He improved this with his Sobol recording - a more comfortable range delivering the warmth you're looking for. Still nice to see chazonim wanting to perform this piece. There aren't many who do.
