I don't care about who likes it or if it's "mainstream" I care if it's good. Music is changing, yeah there was and still is a lot of shit, but bands like Kings of Leon, My Morning Jacket, Grizzly Bear, their mainstream as fuck, but great.
I'll admit I was introduced to kings of Leon through the "Only by the Night" but I consider myself a fan. Contrary to some who say you can't be a fan if you got introduces to KoL with the "mainstream" album. F--- off poser. I do believe that the following album, "Come around Sundown" is less mainstream rock and more "alternative"
wow 18,104 views the extra 5 million or so viewers of use somebody are really missing out! That's the problem really. people do like the new stuff(rightly so) but why are they not doing the research to find the gems like this? I feel for them with enormous pity!
Reminds me of good days. I have to admit i didn't really like the new album(too u2 for me in parts) prefered them when they had the long hair and beards and sang about hookers,coke and rock n roll. Plus i love i didn't have a clue what the fuck he was singing about.
@cheevers4ever I totally agree with you :) When I first heard them and their old stuff I was like 'wow, who's this?' I was so fascinated by their sound and lyrics and then they got big and blew up and I was kinda disappointed with their new stuff. I like their new stuff but it just hasn't got the same vibe.
@NS675 yeah i feel like their new stuff just sounds like any other rock band now..but their old stuff has a different style that bands dont have anymore..
