I agree with Cynthiano because if you think about it, the enemy was about to cancel the assignment God had for her to complete. The devil attacks all of us, but for those who are anointed and chosen to do a work, the devil fights even harder because if the assignment is cancelled, less people get delivered and find out who they are in God.
Any Christian who prides him/herself on being so "strong in the Lord" that the enemy could never attack their mind is actually at the highest risk, because they would be totally blindsided! How can we judge her weakness when we each have our own? Maybe it's not depression, but what about lying, gossiping, speaking critical and otherwise hurtful words against our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ? That's why the Bible tells us to pray for each other, so that we won't be likewise afflicted.
Just as being Spirit-filled doesn't immunize a person against cancer, muscular dystrophy, or even aging, it also does not make us immune to depression. It sounds like Dorinda was suffering with severe clinical depression at the time she was considering taking her own life. I'm talking about a serious physiological disorder, not just the occasional blues we all get. Those of us who've been blessed to never experience clinical depression should be more thankful and less judgmental.

I thank God that I know Him for myself because if this was during that time when I was being attact left and right by the enemy and heard your holier than Thou speech about this not being of the church, I might not be here today. These scriptures tell us that the devil attacks us, and his goal is to steal from us, kill us, and to destroy us.
It does not matter how spirit filled one is, the devil still has access to the mind, and will attack you. However; a spirit-filled believer knows how to distinguish between the voice of the devil and the voice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Evangelist Dorinda DID NOT commit suicide, and therefore she won the battle. We as people are not perfect, and will not attain perfection until the afterlife with Jesus. While on this earth, we will experience trials and tribulations.
It is almost like you're saying Evangelist Dorinda was not mentally attacked by the devil. Revelation 12:11 says, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..." We overcome the devil by the blood of Jesus and the word of our TESTIMONY. So, we struggle and go thru trials and tribulations. Then we overcome the enemy by telling others so that they might be uplifted and receive strength. You're free to disagree, but you'll disagree with God.

As for their ministry...they can only be strengthened by their actions...and Dorinda is a wonderful example of that. Not to discredit God, because you can't do that. but their mother had invested anointing and all into her life and God opened that communication that she needed with her Mom. I have heard many times about this testimony and this is my first time actually hearing it and as soon as she said God spoke and said "Dorinda," I heard her Mother in that. That's the problem with alot of folks "we" always downplay them when they do wrong and get upset when GOD forgives and pick them up. Whatever the downfall is it doesnt matter God forgave her. We all have done wrong no matter if its lying or killing it's wrong. No sin is bigger than the other. So if you smoke weed it carries the same weight as if you murdered somebody. We should just judge ourselves and keep ourselves in line with the word of God. And pray strength to those have have fallen.

I have to disagree with you on that. I (nor you) can imagine what she was going through at that stage in her life. What I do admire about Dorinda is that she was woman enough to come before the saints and tell her story. For someone who has thought about doing it myself, this has blessed even me! HER testimony kept me from taking my own life so I must ask that you keep your opinions about who/what a saint SHOULD be to yourself. I'm still here through HER testimony. Praise God!

I thank God that I know Him for myself because if this was during that time when I was being attact left and right by the enemy and heard your holier than Thou speech about this not being of the church, I might not be here today. As I said before...Dorinda's testimony helped me at that time. This is coming from a preacher's kid. The bible (since you want to go there) says "Judge not!" The only thing that people are saying is that her testimony has helped them.

Like the song says we fall down but we get up. It does not matter how spirit filled one is, the devil still has access to the mind, and will attack you. However; a spirit-filled believer knows how to distinguish between the voice of the devil and the voice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Evangelist Dorinda DID NOT commit suicide, and therefore she won the battle. We as people are not perfect, and will not attain perfection until the afterlife with Jesus. While on this earth, we will experience trials and tribulations.

Revelation 12:11 says, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..." We overcome the devil by the blood of Jesus and the word of our TESTIMONY. So, we struggle and go thru trials and tribulations. Then we overcome the enemy by telling others so that they might be uplifted and receive strength. Doreen, you need to understand, even the holiest of people have troubles. And how they deal with them does not make them any more or less holy. As for their ministry...they can only be strengthened by their actions...and Dorinda is a wonderful example of that. Yes she nearly committed suicide, but still, God stepped in and gave her the power and the srength to keep on! And because He did, she has her testimony,which can only add to her ministry. Not to discredit God, because you can't do that. but their mother had invested anointing and all into her life and God opened that communication that she needed with her Mom. I have heard many times about this testimony and this is my first time actually hearing it and as soon as she said God spoke and said "Dorinda," I heard her Mother in that. Now I know that she sounds like her mom, but beleieve me when I say that at rope's end, God opened that communication and that was Mattie Moss.

That's the problem with alot of folks "we" always downplay them when they do wrong and get upset when GOD forgives and pick them up. Whatever the downfall is it doesnt matter God forgave her. We all have done wrong no matter if its lying or killing it's wrong. No sin is bigger than the other. So if you smoke weed it carries the same weight as if you murdered somebody. We should just judge ourselves and keep ourselves in line with the word of God. And pray strength to those have have fallen.
