So what i am basically saying is that all car companies today are lineages of FORD. Except for the Asian models such as Toyota and Honda who have undermined American quality. Everyone knows Asia is the cheap imitator of goods. Now they are the cheap imitators of Trucks and Sedans. If Asians were to make better quality vehicles with parts that can actually endure the terrain of my home state of Texas then i would definitely buy one. But they cant so i stick with my F-450. Man does anyone remember what Henry Ford did for this country even though he was anti-semitic. He did two amazing things that influenced the future automobile companies. He made the idea of assembly lines and interchangeable parts. First one to do this with his Ford model T. Then Louis Chevrolet(French guy) came and stole Henry's ideas. After that two brothers by the names of Horace and i cant remember the other one broke from the assembly lines of ford and made Dodge.

My dad's 96 f-160 have over 360'000 km's on it. And everything on it is stock except for the alternater, and that was still working @ 300'000 km's. It still runs great and hauls a camper and a boat at the same time while passing uloaded chevy's.

My uncles 94 f-150 has over 200'000 bush road km's on it and he beat the shit out of it. The only thing he had to repair was the leaf spring which cracked.

The F-100 was replaced by the Ranger in 1982. The reason being the Ranger was to fill the demand for a compact truck model. The f-100 used to be ford's half tonne, and the F-150 was a heavy half tonne. It makes much more sense, being as until '82 the Ranger was a trim level on the entire F Series Truck. My first truck was a navy blue 1978 Ford F-100 Ranger.

Dodge is about to be 50% japanese in a couple of years, since they are merging with Nissan to build the Titan. Quality has nothing to do with how bad GM is doing, it's bad business decisions. Believe me, there are just as many GM fans in the world as there are Ford and Chrysler fans. They are not wanting to use their money wisely and the economy is suffering because of it.

I have a 08 sierra with a 5.3 and my brother has a 07 ford with a 5.4 and we both pull our boats to the lake about 2 times a month and my 5.3 just flat out preforms the ford every time,when it comes time to fill up he is on empty and i have just under a 1/4 of a tank!

Uh, no it's not faster, at all. The tundra does 0-60 in six seconds, and the silverado is 7.9 with the vortec max. The new 09 dodge ram will probably be faster than the tundra.
