im on my 3rd 360 and i payed for 2 of them as i did not know warrenty was extended.great console.the reason for over heating problems is when they made the 360 they did not have room for the heatsink on the cpu so they had to basicly cut it in half to make room for the dvd drive and thats why it over heats.its like puting the cooling system from a 1.1 fiesta on to a 2.0ltr turbo cosworth and wonder why the engine overheats :).ps3 sucks.

Hey dude I figured out what it is my 360 use to hella frezze up, it's either ur Internet settings like mtu or ur modem. Once I bought a new modem my 360 never really lagged again and I'm usually host all the time
you should try to clear your harddrive. mines never froze, but it has run slower from all the memory on the hard drive. maybe if you clear up a couple gb of space it'll work again

my forza 3 disc freezes only me at least 3 times a day. I think microsoft should stick to what they know best (software). Leave the hardware to people who actually know what they are doing. Microsoft sucks.

This is why I love Apple. Microsoft's outlook equivalent for Mac OS X still has code in it from 1997! Avoid Microsoft. You do not need them! For games get a PS3 or a Wii. For computing Buy a Mac or get Ubuntu. Though Ubuntu is still shy of a consumer grade OS, OS X has made my life much easier. All of my Windows Files worked perfectly on my Mac. I only needed to download a QuickTime codec to play .WMV files. I am Microsoft Free!

im on my 3rd 360 and i payed for 2 of them as i did not know warrenty was extended.great console.the reason for over heating problems is when they made the 360 they did not have room for the heatsink on the cpu so they had to basicly cut it in half to make room for the dvd drive and thats why it over heats.its like puting the cooling system from a 1.1 fiesta on to a 2.0ltr turbo cosworth and wonder why the engine overheats :).ps3 sucks.

I kept my receipt for when I get the dreaded RROD.
I always keep my receipt.
Plus if you look on youtube, there is a video on how to mod the 360 for better cooling.

Dude Elites do FAIL mine did it was from this year made after JUNE 2009 and it was freezing like Jarrods on EVERY GAME I played at start up and on the dashboard they all SUCK. I'm back to PS3 now NOT the SLIMS though. The PS3 Slim is just like the 360's FUCKED UP LOL. I have the same 80 gig Jarrod does the RARE TO FIND ones lol
