  • Just keep in mind that during the tourist season these mentioned places get really, really crowded so, for instance, if you're willing to visit the Alcatraz, you have to bear and cope with the whole crowd surrounding you and it won't be a totally amazing experience, also you might have to wait in line to take a boat to the island. The Fisherman's Wharf area can get really crowded too, although it's still a nice place to visit. Walk up to a pier and watch the scenery, it's really nice.

  • Who are you, you lovely thing! Wanna meet?

  • visit Napa Valley! ;)

  • Sausalito is one of the most beautiful places ive ever seen, if youre going you should definitely go

  • Sausalito!

  • Ripleys believe it or not I fun

  • I live Here and I honestly cannot see the appeal. But it's still a great place to visit. If you're visiting around this area, go to Santa Cruz, which is like 2 hours south of sf. Nice beaches, the summer it stays in the mid 70s, the wharf, the boardwalk, and a ton of hippies. It's just a great little by-the-sea town that I've had a ton of great memories in. Or go to capitola which is like 10 min from Santa Cruz, it's smaller, more quiet, but has sea cliffs

  • @electricguitar146 Im telling you man, I used to live there most of my life, I moved away 6 years ago to Ft. Lauderdale FL and I regret it every day. Grass is always greener on the other side, but I prefer my SF grass any time! The sounds, the smells, the people, you can't beat it.

  • It's not okay to call me a fag

  • Its mostly filled with Asian and European Tourists. Too packed but still fun.

  • what about aquarium of the bay or ripleys or the wax muesum??? preety obvious choices though sorry if i spelled anything wrong

  • Im an Australian who just traveled the U.S gotta say I enjoyed San Fran and L.A alot more then Miami, id still go back to Florida it is great fun.but for an Aussie tourist beaches arent really a mind blowing experience.

  • ..grow?

  • Spent a week here what a mistake no girls no clubs no sun couldnt wait to move on to LA.

  • i love Cali The best state ever.

  • @8Billybobs too bad about the earthquakes forest fire immigrants overpopulation crowded citys with polution in almost every city but i guess thats your opinion I stay in Miami best city and best state FL ;)

  • @skatepyt Florida sucks by the way ;)

  • @8Billybobs have you even been there bro? Florida tops its better than cali plus ppl says its a retirement place but they wrong Miami was voted third in Nightclub party life

  • @lego12356 yes i have been there

  • @8Billybobs well you must of visited some other part beacuse your missing out why be in boring ass cali when you could be IN MIAMI

  • @lego12356 man just shut up.

  • @8Billybobs admit it Florida is better now fuck off

  • @lego12356 u shouldnt be using that language for a kid with the word lego in his user

  • @8Billybobs lol im not a kid man this lego username was a consideration on youtube names so stfu.

  • @skatepyt

Miami is a great Place for someone who loves drugs, night life, terrible traffic( the only way to get anywhere is I-95 and it is bumper to bumper in the morning and in the evening, criminal setuation is horrible, you can get easily rubbed or killed if you suddenly get lost and find yourself in the wrong area,a lot of prostitution, and all illegal things you can fined it all in Miami.beaches there are terrible, much better is daytone beach so buddy...Not the best place for normal people

  • Take it from someone who lived there 11 years, Fisherman's Wharf is a disgusting tourist trap. No local would be caught dead there. Chinatown has nothing but congested streets, garbage and junky shops. GG park is okay, but better to visit the Cliff House and walk North on the trails with views of the GG bridge. See North Beach, Coit tower, Fort Point, Muir woods (redwood forest), and Angel Island.

  • Those are worth seeing I guess. I live here, and I´ve walked trough most of the streets, stairs, shops and parks and I´m beginning to know my favourite spots and surprisingly those are not in this video ; -) Still I keep finding new angles all the time to look at the city and whole Bay Area. I refuse to go to Alcatraz though, because nobody should pay 30-40 bucks for such a short boat ride. This is an expensive city, but so many of the coolest things are free or cheap.

  • Top 5 tourist traps of San Francisco. lolz...

  • Here's the real list if you want to get off the tourist track: 1) Cliff House. You'll get a view of the golden gate bridge on the way there. 2) Chinatown. If you've never been to China, this is the closest thing to it in North America. 3) Union Square. If you're going to ride a cable car you might as well ride it to the best shopping district on the west coast. 4) Mission District. Check out all the mid-century modern Mexican murals. 5) Castro district. How can you go to SF and miss it?

  • These are great tourist-y places, but they tend to be a bit crowded and over-priced. I'd say check out the local "gems" that aren't so obvious. If you're in Haight-Ashbury check out Amoeba (of course!) for music. The Buffalo Exchange there is great too (it has the best selection of clothes that are trendy, yet vintage). If you're near Hayes Valley, make sure to stop at Blue Bottle coffee on Linden Street (just look for the garage with the line of people). Have fun in SF, I always do!!

  • what about the hood? haha

  • broadway girls will blow you for 40$

  • Funny, I went there last years, and those are the exact things I did.

  • I am a Native of Oakland and a graduate of the University of San Francisco

  • Alcatraz isn't that beautiful, is better the economic district

  • Loooooveee SanFrans!

  • Great city to have fun. There are so many things to see and do. The weather is so mild; it's not too hot or too cold. All that being said, I wouldn't want to live there because it's to crowded.

  • umm chinatown! and embarcedero! the old hippie district! haight ashbury. seal rock its great if u want to see the pacific. hmm..for shopping-union sqaure. these are just extras on top of the ones mentioned. yeah fishermans warf of course. (look out for the bushman of san fransisco!)

  • are the cable cars and trolleys free to ride?

  • i love you girl , woo hoo

  • I LOVE SAN FRANCISCO.

  • i love san francisco!

  • Japantown (Post Street) is my favorite. How come none of these videos on YouTube even mention it? I'm going to the SF Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown in 1 week - taiko drummers, cosplayers, and gothic lolitas. Oh my. Maybe its good they don't mention it. TOURISTS STAY AWAY FROM MY FAVORITE RAMEN SHOPS!!!

  • @glacierlily haha i love japantown

    best sushi ever<3

and i got a handmade kimono

    no im not a tourist

i was born in sf :D

  • You should also visit Coit Tower located on Telegraph Hill and Lombard Street (between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets). From the top of this windy street, you have a great view of the city. To the left you can see Alcatraz and in front of you is a great view of city.

  • these places listed in the video are actually nothing fun. maybe cuz i live in sf and been there too much, but..yeah...japantown, chinatown, + downtown (= YAY<3 and the schools are good. we have lowell high school, ranked #23 best out of all the high schools in the usa. ;D yup, we be rockin.

  • lolol, i live in san francisco (= hustling & entertaining city it is ;D theres people everywhere, and you just feel safe...very nice place to live...and easy to get around. (= public buses & all. if you ever go to san francisco, japantown is the place to go, also<3

  • i was supposed to move there last month... no jobs. its so nice there, nobody wants to leave.

  • I have seen a few of these MOJO San Francisco videos and feel they are not particularly good describing the City.

  • I like going to Crissy Fields

  • whih is better to stay sf or la

  • no-brainer. San Francisco.

  • san francisco. <3 it's fun. and public transportation is easy. but la isall diseyworld & hollywood.,.

  • Is it a nice place to work? Good opportunities?

  • Parking is terribly expensive, annoying and prone to ticketing. The DPT have NO mercy even for women taking their kids to the emergency room!

  • @SuperTigerTV It's not that expensive if you know where your going, the most I've paid for a full day was 20 bucks

  • yes, it's a nice place to work..but like a lot of citys, it might be hard to look for work. lol

  • Cable car fares:

No transfers are accepted. Adult & Youth (ages 5-17): $5.00 each way (single ride on a single cable car).Senior & Disabled: before 7 a.m.: $1.00 each way.7 a.m. to 9 p.m.: $5.00 each way . after 9 p.m.: $1.00 each way (valid ID required). An All-Day .Monthly passes, monthly sticker affixed to a valid Regional Transit Discount card, BART Plus, and Passports are valid on cable cars.Valid $2.00 single-ride tickets require an additional payment of $3.00

  • Dont forget to take the BART and go to Berkeley!

  • other places to check out Haight/Ashbury Mission district(great mexican food) Chinatown Broadway (good for nightlife) Embarcedero Lake merced SF Zoo(but lot of the animals look dried up) Downtown/union square/meteron North Beach Fisherman's Wharf is great just don't buy anything from the gift shops..you can find all that crap in chinatown/mission way cheaper
  • @mzzaidd

Also Lombard street (the winding road). I just drove down that street at 5:30 a few mornings ago while the sun was coming up. amazing experience.

  • @mzzaidd Thank you for Sharing the Other MAIN Places to see! I Lived there 7 years and watching that video It made me sorta mad-You can see the Bridge from Anywhere, also Alcatraz is no big deal) & No pics of Wharf I worked there-Loved it-The Beach, Lands End, Polk St. The Park, Lovely Auditorium! Skating/SO Many more-we helped i hope with our comments! Love San Francisco & will go back!

  • i don't want to sound stupid, but does SF have any beaches? i know its surrounded by the ocean but most of it its like docks right?

  • yes sf has beaches..not the nicest or cleanest..and its really cold

  • Oh well thanks! but I guess if i go to live and study there i can go somewhere else for nice beaches..so its all good, thank you.

  • Yes I go to Baker Beach all the time!! It is gorgeous and easy to get to..just take 25th Avenue NORTH towards the Golden Gate Bridge and follow the signs! Sometimes it is even warm enough to wear shorts (but not usually). Still, my dogs love it!

  • ocean beach!<3 [:

  • going to SF in july , havnt booked a hotel yet can someone tell me if it would be easy to book in to a hotel when i get there? cheers

  • wow i can't wait for my first trip there.

  • The Perfect city for a single guy!!!

  • & gays! ;D

  • That too, hahah

  • @Sanpedranoazul Why?

  • @Sanpedranoazul YEAH IF YOUR A MINCER!

  • San Fransisco is truly awesome!

It's a great city you can do on foot.

Loads to see and it isn't expensive at all.

Must do visit to Alcatraz and one of the city tours takes you to top places of interest. Do this early in your break there, then you can spend more time revisiting what parts you liked best.

Can't wait to return next year!

John (Newcastle upon Tyne - UK)

  • yo dude i wona do venice san fran and san diego and la is that all possible in like a few weeks?

  • Yeah you can do the whole west coast in a couple of weeks if you plan well. Start at the Nort - San Francisco and if your driving follow the Pacific Highway south going through LA and ending up at San Diego. If you have plenty of time head east and spend a couple of days in Las Vegas.

Even if you're not driving you can get bases to each cities, or flights are reasonable and take less than an hour.

    Happy Holiday!

  • True!!!

  • i like grand cafe in san francisco, but it is pricey!

  • si vero

  • I love SF!!!!!!

  • OK, but you gotta see more of the city than these tourist attractions! Fisherman's Wharf is a real tourist trap. It might be fun to visit once, but be advised that it is not an authentically San Franciscan place. It was designed for the sole purpose of taking money from tourists, which is good for the city but bad for you if you're a visitor. And locals hardly EVER ride cable cars. They are definitely definitive and historically important, but if you want the real local experience, ride Muni!

  • Hello I live in Germany and had to ask the San Francisco Cable Car for free, I've heard that he show tourists the city or something

  • Hello everyone!! Can anybody share me new ideas on where to go and what to do in san francisco, please! :)

  • I know this might sound like a stupid reply, but just walking around SF is absolutely amazing, you will stumble across things you might not have ever seen or heard of before but I have to agree with the first 3 things in this video, golden gate bridge, alcatraz and fishermans wharf are absolutely amazing.

  • i so agree just walking around..especially north beach area, soo nice! if you go to tourist attractions its not soo much fun, it can be but its best to look like a local. :) i love in sf and walking around is the best!

  • GG Bridge is ok, all the bridges are pretty impresive. GG park is probably the best place to visit. New Academy of Science is SpEcTaCuLaR, really. If you plan on going buy a citypass for $60. Well worth it.

  • you will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 min

  • Jessikuh the body told me that since i was the only one not to post the message in 6 videos in under 30 minutes it admired my courage and asked me to pick anyone that was gullable enough to spread its haunted message on youtube comment section for it to visit soon after reading this message to exact its curse upon my instruction. Now there is nothing you can do. So please stop posting messages like the previous one or maybe one day I´ll order it to visit you. Have a nice day in San Fran :)

  • Fishermans Wharf ain't that great. See it anyway for the view, but it's really just a tourist trap...

  • Hi I am planning a trip to SanFrancisco can u please explain why Fishermans Wharf is a tourist trap. thanks!

  • It's all fake and set up just for tourists. It's not at all representative of the city at large. Everything is exorbitantly overpriced there because the one and only object of Fisherman's Wharf is to take as much money as possible from travelers like you. I suppose it's cool to check out briefly, but beware.

In general, check out these famous locations, but then branch out and explore and don't let these very limited tourist guides hold you back. We pack a lot into this small area!

  • #4 is not a destination, just a form of transportation

You should have put China Town there instead. Highest population of Chinese outside China. That and you can buy things like smoke bombs, and get real Chinese food.

I also like Japan town, and somewhere there is this anime theatre.

  • this title says "things to do" not only "places to visit"

  • Come on now, that's not fair, Golden Gate Park is really very lovely on a sunny afternoon. Of course, it's not a good idea to hang out after dark, but that's unfortunately true a lot of places.

  • I say don't go to fisherman's wharf. Its a big tourist trap. Coit tower however is a great view.

  • wheres coit tower?

  • Its somewhere near Fisherman's Wharf. Its really close. View my video for inside view.

  • Yeah that sounds like fun but I also want to try the LSD in San Francisco

  • where da clubs at!? lol im just playin

  • yes! Could not possibly agree with you more! This video was a snooze factory!

  • Lame and obvious choices. Snooze.........
