@paintballnsk Hi there, yes it's an amazing amp indeed very loud and powerful. i use it with 3 pedals, and I don't mix them. i use it separately depending on the sound I want to obtain from AC/DC to heavy metal. Use it with no pedals to obtain a classic hard rock sound (AC/DC) and then a TS808 is really good for some nuances, I also have a DS-1 (from 1985) and a SD-1(from 1981), my tubescreamer is an analongman mod. Cheers from Spain and thanks for the advice.
can you please try highway to hell on your amp wit this settings: presence 0, treble 6, middle 5 , bass 4 ? i wanna buy an ultimate amp to replicate highway to hell record tone.
@acdcgibsonmaniac Hi there! Well to be honest, I've got this head now at home just to duplicate AC/DC sound. I have a Marshall head 2203 JCM 800 from 1982 at our rehearsal room now. If you want to duplicate the AC/DC sound, you have to adquire Angus's speakers and guitars too, he uses celestion greenbacks and also there is a choice of changing your pickups and buy Angus Young signature pick up. I have a 1969 sg and when I crank up my JMP it really sounds very similar. Take care!
@maliboo51516 To tell you the truth the JMP was developed to be like the Plexi but for playing with overdriven sound at low levels. So at some extend I'd say yes, but when it sounds at its best is when you put the volume at four or more. In this case it sounds awesome.
@maliboo51516 depends on what do you mean by bedroom vol!!!! I once cranked my 2203 to 10 in my bed room!!!!! now it resides at our garage where I can safely crank it without dropping shit standing on drawers!!! (its that loud)
nice playing. I used to have the same set up: JMP2203 with two g12-65 and two g12t75's in a 412. I always found it somewhat muddy and realized that the two speakers didnt compliment each other (to my ears). So I got 2 more vintage g12-65s and now it sounds AMAZING! I would recommend trying out four 12-65's if you havent already, the sound is more balanced, crisp and rich.
Well, I'll prepare another video with more quality as soon as I change my mobile. LOL. Yes, I tried to play some riffs, and one of them is AC/DC's Riff Raff.
Cool vid. Maybe next time turn the snare off in the background? I can hear it rattling haha. I want a JMP so bad. JMP+TS808= ... Just get me a towel.
