I drive a 1990 Bonneville and I love it, I never have problems with it. GM really put this car together well, fit and finish. This was when they were still making cars from 100% steel, not fiberglass and plastics.
Fiberglass and plastic save weight. You can still put a car together well with good fit and finish, but using lighter materials instead of steel will make the car more efficient and better performing. And the Corvette has been fiberglass since 1954, long before 1990.
Fully agree with your opinion on these Bonnevilles. My dad had a 91 SSE which was a beautiful car. Very high build quality and such a nice interior with a lot of soft materials.
Yea, i moved into my appartment and the bed just had the frame so the pillows kept falling off the top onto the radiator by the wall... I needed something and walked down the road into the woods where people dump old shit and this car was there, so i took the lid and drilled it out from the top side and bolted it to the bed frame... looks awesome.
They were available in Switzerland and Germany and other countries in Europe. My dad bought a 91 SSE back in 93 in Switzerland. I sure was a nice car!
