This was completely written for an Australian audience. Alot of the jokes would only be understood by Australians, it's amazing it did so well overseas, probably due to the lame humour.
@kat2attack - hey, I'm Australian with a very healthy sense of humor (Python, Rowan Atkinson, etc.) and you are right this is definitley lame humor...I saw a similar show from Singapore with the contirved laughs and diabolical humor so Australia is not alone..Australia has one true comic genius of course and that is Barry Humphries...but after him there is little that matters.

Nice piece of Australian telie. Seems around 93/94 that's when Australian television changed quite a bit. The remaining 80s shows were going off air & so were all the reruns. Lotta long running shows were going off air round that time & 93 was the year when they brought in the M & MA rating instead of AO (adults only). Remember when movies on TV had the word fuck cut out of every scene & any violence & gore was also cut. I still prefer television in those days though it was still more watchable
