Melanie Oudin is very talented, this definitely proved it, makin it to the quarterfinals at the age of 17. I hope she's going to have a very good 2011 season! :D
Oudin will win Wimbledon 2011 champion, but she must come NJ Cherry Hill get secret weapon from super tennis king, her dream will come true, I am 100& sure.
@BrotherTree1 She is a one hit wonder. You see, Americans don't have many good tennis players, so as soon as one little one hit wonder like Oudin causes a tiny miny upset, they all jump on the bandwagon claiming she's the future of American tennis. Well, keep dreaming.
She's one of my favourite players, even though I'm not sure she's got a Grand Slam win in her - fights absolutely every point, even if the other player's serving for the match. Never gives up.
Sadly Elena will never win a Grand Slam. 2009 AO, Wimby and USO were her best chances aside from 2004 (losing to Myskina and Kuzzie? really?) Her AO match against Henin showed why. She hits the ball later, doesn't take as much time away from her opponents, gets less penetration with her shots consistently, and doesn't perform in the clutch moments. She had set points in both sets and still lost.
She has good footwork and speed, lovely forehand, nice bh slice, don't see her hitting many backhands on the run--might need to work on that. Like her nice flat groundies, though. Needs to work on her serve, bh, and net game.
dementieva was in a good shape. us open 2009 was the bigest chance for her to win a grandslam hopefully 2010 wil be a good year with a grand slam title
that was 2009 and where is she now??? lol

Oudin's come-ons are so annoying. She has nothing to come on after her pitiful 2010 season.
Elena should've won this one, because of her and Kuznetsova's losses, her half of the draw became a total joke.

If Oudin was just consistent, she can be on top, and my favorite. :)

@StewNWT Yeah Dementieva is not a clutch player like Serena or Justine, never has been and never will.

melanie's serve is quite impressive for her height, and her forehand is superb. she can only get better, she has plenty of seasons to come!
