Yea you can knock the players and the game but it was really one of the best games ever made and the memories are maybe my best gaming memories ever. Sylvanas is not a blood elf.. no fel blood runs through her veins, it never accidently happened to her before she got killed and then revived into a dark ranger.. She's under the category of a unique undead, so she's nor high elf or blood elf anymore.. But before the decapitation, she were a -High elf- .. Time to realise this, and live with it you blood elf lovers.

why? beacuse she was (as you said) a High Elf. After she was killed by Arthas and the sunwell was destroyed, the high elves changed their name to Blood Elf to remember their fallen ones.

More hints? The blood elves are the "Sin'Dorei" (look in google) and she sings in a part "Shindo Sin'Dorei" that traslates something like "My fallen Blood Brothers"

so, somehow, she's also a Blood elf :3

@EpicLamboMan Yes, that were the high elves who -chose- to follow Lor'themar Theron, indulge themselves with fel magic as they figured this would be the only way to keep their addiction to magic in balance, or however that story goes. But as long Sylvanas never -touched- Fel magic before she died, then she's not affected by it.. And yeah I am very well known with what race is Sin'dorei and Quel'dorei.. Why she sings of blood elves, that I dont know.. Maybe because silvermoon belongs to them now?

@AndreKa30 Actually, no. Blood Elf and High Elf are NOT the same. They are the same race, but very different in other aspects. Some of the original High Elves refused to go down the path their brethren took after fall of Qel'Thalas and escape from Dalaran dungeons. The call themselves High Elves still, are affiliated w/ alliance still, and do not dab into fel magics (hence no warlocks). High Elf paladins use/used Holy Light, and NEVER tapped into captured Naaru energies.

This is not the place to discuss specifics, but you can go to any number of WoW blogs that have pointed out those specifics over the years. The peak sub number was 12 mil, the number now is 10. Unfortunately it is no longer a great game, but it is the only game in town.

Sylvanas was once a High Elf - not a Blood Elf, contrary to pop. belief. She was the Ranger General of Silvermoon. Unfortunately when the Scourge came - Arthas killed her and raised her as a Banshee.

Since Arthas' death - she has begun leading the Forsaken in increasingly tyrannical ways. She slowly has been mirroring the Scourge in tactics.

I suspect the change of heart may be because of the Old Ones.

None of that however changes the fact that this song is hauntingly beautiful.
