i agree with anthonympenland. its not even that the riffs are bad, but try doing some more things interesting with the bass rather than just have the guitar and bass have identical parts essentially. ive learned that after playing in a band in which i wrote all the songs that its alot more satisfying when you feel like you've accomplished something new on all the instruments and usually the crowd reaction will show 4 it.also how about just playing the song instead of telling us wat it is b4 hand

Likewise you wrote. A little tip though break downs don't need to be just one note mix it up make this crazy rift and then break it down. And harmonics also help with break downs being more of a heavy and different riff
