  • UNIDENTIFIED SWIMMING OBJECT cool

  • actually its a sea horse

  • watchin this for my online oceanography class which is connected with the shedd aquarium. nice!

  • i wonder if fire is super effective

  • What is title of this song?

  • last one in the video is a weedy seadragon, not leafy, and to all those saying they want one as a pet you would have to feed it a minimum of twice a day, usually only live food. these are even more difficult to keep than seahorses, which r very difficult

  • mermaids have some competition

  • I wanted to get one but now I refused to. I found out how they capture these beautiful creatures. The throw small charges (like the size of m-80s) into the reefs to stun them then they scoop them up.

    VERY Cruel not Cool.

  • I LOOOOVE SEA HORSES OMG XD

  • i want one of these as a pet :x

  • @geckosandreps1 -why would you want one as a pet? why not just leave the poor things in the ocean where they belong and buy a dog if you want a pet? It's selfish to take something like that and stick it in a tank hidden away in your own private collection!

Besides, they are a protected species unable to breed in captivity and they are also endemic to Australia.

  • lol that looks like a sea horse or a plant

  • cool

  • They are by far the cutest fish of all time. I remember the first time I saw one at the aquarium, or rather didn't see one. My mom kept telling me it was right there in the weeds, and kept staring at it for like 15 minutes going, "WHERE!?" until it finally moved.

    LOL XD

  • i saw the first sea dragon in monterey bay aquarium

  • wow, it's beautiful.

  • Awesome colors

  • save the sea monkeys !!!!!!!

  • they look sad :-(

  • Subhanallah. What's the title of the song?

  • i like the leafy sea dragon than the weedy sea dragon

  • Every time I watch this, I think, "Leafy Sea Dragon goes to prom." :) So pretty.

  • Possibly the trippiest looking creature ever!

    Smashing Pumpkins song too?

  • where would you find a sea dragon at a store?

  • guys its a weedy sea horse....lol...

  • @cyberdyne131

The first one is a leafy sea dragon... the second one looks like a weedy sea dragon

  • there very unique.

  • I could watch them for hours XD

  • I see these at the pgh aquarium alot and i LOVE them.. they are soooooooo amazing!!! thanks for share

  • I like what you did here. I posted a video response,,,,,,, Thanks! I love this sea creature too!

  • Your other videos are WHACKED! Rock on man!!!

  • 0:05 leafy sea dragon

    0:19 weedy sea dragon

my hobbies include studying animals even though im a kid =]

  • *sighs*

They're so beautiful. Even though it's a stupid thing ("oh they're pretty, put them in a cage"), I'd really like to have these in an aquarium. Obviously I can't provide them with great enough a space the creature would deserve.

  • @Squirrelunderabus there a like 15 of them in the alanta aquarium

  • wow.... now thats something you dont see everyday...

  • These are beautiful. Very graceful creatures.

  • what do they eat?

  • copepods, tiny marine animals.

  • Both types of sea dragons are the most amazing creatures. I've seen them at the aquarium in New Orleans.

  • The first one is a leafy sea dragon....the second is a weedy sea dragon.

Yes, they are different from a seahorse....their whole body structure is different.

  • A beautiful and fragile creature, endemic to the seas around Tasmania.

  • Weedy sea dragons -Victoria & Tasmania

    Leafy Sea Dragons- South Australia

  • Thank you for the info. :-)

  • Pretty....!!!

  • its my favorite animal :) i actually have one. her name is duckie

  • it my farit anmal

  • i looked for the song everywhere but i can not even find the label, the only existence of this particular song is on this video and not even on the links provided in the info box. i shall ask for help and continue my search. i will be back when i find the song.

  • Eat!!! That's soo cool!

  • wtf they can light up?

  • Great film. You've got two different creatures here. The first one is the Leafy Sea Dragon and the second is the Weedy Sea Dragon ... two different kinds that are related. Both live off the coast of Australia.

  • I ADORE these fish! I spend lots of time watching them when I go to the Florida Aquarium.

  • no..thats a sea dragon

  • umm... thats a Seahorse...

  • i love the long snout seadragons are so cute i love then i want to have one but they are endangered and we cant do that. i wish i could have one they so adorable! babies so cute all wobb a lee colleen phoenixxooo

  • They are not endangered at all, It is Australian government policy that no indigenous wildlife can be exploited for the pet trade.

  • whats the title of the song?

  • cool

  • pretty ^^ i used to go to the aquarium in NJ and just stare at those things. but since NJ is like an hour away, we stopped going. i love them :3

  • nice there my best sea critters

  • why do they have a red glow like that?

  • the red glow is the modeling light from digital cameras people are using to take pictures of it.

  • nice friends

  • wow there so beautful

  • they r so pretty

  • um y dont dey move? 0_o

  • I spent 30 minutes observing these critters at the Tennessee aquarium in Chattanooga,,

Very hypnotic and wondrous is its camouflage

  • LOL i spent 2 hrs looking at them and my friend was like umm can we move on now??

  • lol that does look like a drogon, but they are seahorses

  • go learn something then come back and comment.

  • its actually a not very distant cousin of a sea hores, there posture i guess is the quite the same, plus it moves the same way.... man discovery channel works wonders

  • I took is as they where disputing it was a leafy sea dragon at all. Yes i can see they could of ment it diff now.

  • The response to this video is almost as vehement as the comments garnered from "Life with a Pussy Made of Gold!"

  • The response to this video is almost as vehement as those garnered from "Life with a Pussy Made of Gold!"

  • thats some crazy creation by god

  • From 0:16 forward, you're looking at a weedy sea dragon, not a leafy sea dragon. Two closely related species. And though they are also related to sea horses, their official names are indeed "dragon" -- not "horse." All you need to do is a Google search, people, to save yourself from posting misinformation and looking very foolish.

  • sea horse you fool

  • dam people dont know shit....

  • its a seahorse not a dragon

  • there are somewhere in the range of 14,000 different species of sea horse and signifigantly less species of Sea dragon (2 i think, leafy and Weedy) although the two are realated, they are different, you ass! damn you have the internet look it up!

  • i agree with you man....many species,dumb asses..people dont know shit,,

  • They are actually a species of sea horse, males have pregnancy pouches etc

  • Try 30-40 species of sea horse world wide (of which Australia has the most diversity (up to 27 species recorded)

  • these guys also endemic i believe!

    quite rare to find also.

only ever filmed the in the wild once myself

  • dumbfuck...its called a dragon sea horse,,figure it out before talking,,,8===D~~~

  • but it really called sea dragon

  • isn't true? What a nice creature of God.

  • sounds like the chord progression of pachelbel's canon :p

  • it pretty much is, good ear. a classic! :D

  • u took this video at Ocean Park?
