  • oh i get it... sorry... when we had to do that "squash fold" i forgot to pull one layer down...

  • what to lift up.... i dont get it.....

  • are you from familiy of adams? :)))))))

  • @dzzudzu Obviously - but there are many Adams families. :)

  • @AdamsSara I mean "The Addams Family"

  • this is an upgraded hydrangea

  • Here I go.

    I am making this again.

This is one of my favorite models to make!

    It is just so intresting!

    I just made it! Again!

  • OMG! I DID IT! IM SOOO HAPPY!!! =D

  • your so amazing at this ,i always watch your videos and their all so easy to follow along.... exept the maple leaf, lol

  • ugh I couldn't do it just yet XD Its so similar to the hydrangea but I can't seem to get it down yet =_=; one day though lol

  • You always make such easy instructions and when I finish it always looks like yours. Good job and I love the accent. Some people are just so intolerant but just keep being you and I'll keep watching. 5/5

  • good job i just made mine =)

  • You will have to accept that people from different countries will have different accents. No need to get personal about not liking my accent. It's German, by the way, and not fake.

  • i don't see a butterfly in it

  • With some imagination, you might see the coloured squares that pop up as the butterflies of the model.

  • teach how to make the the one in your profile background

  • The background image shows Michael LaFosse's Mudarri Luna Moth. Michael does videos himself, so I won't be doing any on his models. Check pem(dot)org/origami/ for a video on the Alexander Swallowtail Butterfly, which looks similar to the Mudarri Luna Moth.

  • awesome! i made it!! thanks so much!!

but i only had one problem

the white part the butterflies are laying on keeps popping up. Are the butterflies suppose to keep them down?

  • By opening the butterflies this should be prevented. Also, you can try different ways of locking down the paper by folding in the paper in different ways to get the final octagon shape. I have two or three different ways in which I do this, and am not sure which one I prefer most. My variations are just based on how the paper is squashed, and whether corners are reverse-folded or not. A slight variation might work better for you.

  • what was the sound in the background at 4:16?

  • A book dropping, I think.

  • oh my gosh it brings back memories of the hydrenga!

  • Yes, they're quite similar designs.

  • thats a lot of arrows and lines on the paper o.0

    thanx for the vid :D

  • True, I'd thought about only marking the relevant creases as I go along. But then people might say "I don't have that crease!", and be confused. So I went along with marking all crease lines. Judging the comments so far it seems it wasn't the worst decision to make.

  • please teach to collapse creases patterns

  • woot awesome to see u making videos again :D

  • hey, wassup, sara? hows it goin? havent seen one of ur vids 4 a looooong time, lol! i wuz soooooo happy when i saw ur video on my subscription thingy!!! thanx 4 the vid! hope u had an awsome holiday!

  • Nice! I made that model:) thanks a lot:P

Any plans for your next video?:)

  • Probably one of Joseph Wu's designs. I'm guessing the Eastern Dragon.

  • ok. Cool! I had some trouble at that one. Thanks!

  • Wow, extremely clear instructions - as always :). I wish I would've been able to see the first half of this video a week ago, when I was struggling myself with the collapsing(took me about half an hour to do the first bit correctly... I did finish in the end) Thanks for sharing this video! - Gonna go fold another one right now :)
