But, I don't think he would have put the gun to his head if he had a choice. He made his choice to use his best friend. I know that he took the fall for Raynor but Raynor did stick his neck out for him when Matt was talking down to Tychus. Any part of Tychus that would have said no to Mengsk died in prison long ago.

Also hence the betrayal in SC 1, I think mengsk knows that kerrigan knows something.

In StarCraft Uprising, Kerrigan is first seen being used to experimentally control creep and larva. Upon infestation, Kerrigan's psyonic powers blossomed, though still somewhat limited by the ghost conditioning. She later undos this conditioning, and gains the ability to control zerg of her own.

@tubernery Hahah - have you noticed that Hollywood has one main 2-hour orchestral score somewhere? Whenever an entertainment company wants to use an orchestral score, they just pay for a few measures of that one big score. I swear it! It's kept in a gold case somewhere deep in universal studio's buttocks or something.
The one thing I don't get is that if Tychus was working for Mengsk the entire time, why did he help Raynor bring down the Dominion? Or specifically, Mengsk's reign?
@someone332 In my opinion, that was all part of a Mengsk's plan. He's really a tricky but ingenious bastard. He knew that Raynor will trust Tychus, so he gets him out of prison and tells him- You will kill Queen of Blades for me, and I'll give you freedom. So Tychus agreed, he really didn't wanted to stay in a prison for whole life. Then he get that suit, so Mengsk can kill him, if Tychus will try to betray him.
@someone332 Mengsk's plan was, that Tychus will convince Raynor to collect all parts of Xel'naga artifact. Then his son will contact them, and he will act like he's doing all that just to became better emperor than Mengsk will ever be, and he asks Raynor for help in exchange of Kerrigan's cure. Raynor will naturally agree, because he wants to save Kerrigan. Then they will attack Char together and in a right time and place, they will use the artifact to defeat Queen of Blades.
@someone332 And then, when she will be weak and vulnerable, Tychus will kill her. So he would have used his biggest enemy to defeat feared Queen of Blades, and get all the glory. Ingenious! Well, all that happend except that last part. Poor Tychus, he really didn't have choice. Obey Mengsk's orders and kill Kerrigan or die.
I think it was really ingenious how they did the ending, specifically the hair, it gives you a lot of questions about it, considering the next installment in the series is the heart of the swarm. Rate this up if you agree or you think kerrigan's old hair was sexy

There was just too much pointing towards Kerrigan changing back, or at least redeeming herself, to not warrant and ending like this. I was ecstatic when Blizzard posted the concept art of her in the initial segment of this cutscene, which had been quickly removed from their site for obvious reasons =P
Besides, Raynor really needed this. He's had a pretty rough life, and Kerrigan was the only person he could really connect with.
I don't know what to think about this. She still has the same zerg hair that she has as the Queen of Blades, so I'm thinking shes not completely free of the zerg influence.
First chapter ends happy but doesn't finish the story (Jim saves Kerrigan who apparently has her humanity back). Second chapter the heroes are all in trouble by the end (Kerrigan will either start to turn back to being the Queen of Blades and/or will be captured by Mengsk for study/torture/etc). Third chapter, the heroes triumph against all odds for a bittersweet ending (Kerrigan will probably sacrifice herself against the Xel-Naga and Jim will be by her side at the end).

Does she start to lose herself to the Queen of Blades again? Plus, Jim Raynor should have known of a different "cure" for infestation. According to SC wiki, he worked with Artanis who developed nanites to reverse the infestation process. They used on Alexei Stukov (who had been reanimated and infested by a cerebrate) and turned him human again.
