  • Mr.Winters: an amazing genius and a true high-wire act. the man has been hysterical for some 60+ years. ... I believe Robin when he says, "he's my idol and my mentor".

  • 1932 1982 2012 2032

    timeless classiculture

  • jonny still had it here

  • robin owezzzz a lot to this man (MR Jonathan Winters)

  • Two thumbs up for Jonathan!

  • @desireeT01 How about two thumbs, three fingers, and few toes and an ear? LOL. Jonathan was the best.

  • "tonight as a Representative of Arnold Schwarzenegger helping to build the wall" i died of laughter from that but the audience is just fucking terrible they got no sense of humor at all

  • He deserved better than this.

  • The crowd's lame because American comedy and pop culture is trash these days.

  • The crowd is probably filled with 20-something actors that have little appreciation for the originators and not the imitators (not to be confused with impressionists).

  • @taurnguard

The audience is mostly full of no-talent lamebrains.

  • Jonathan: Teacher Robin: Student, they weave such magic when they are together!

  • wtf is with the crowd?

  • @michel19612009 They're too young to remember him.

  • @xander7ful : i guess they are

  • It's obvious that Robin williams was greatly inspired by Jonathan Winters- the greatest off the cuff comedian ever.

  • It can be said that comedy is an art and these two are the brush and the paint.

  • Such a lame crowd !!!

but yes, it's people like Jonathan Winters- Robin williams- Jerry lewis

who I consider "The Cure" for depression....what ever gets you down,

one of these comedians will lift you !!!

  • i introduced this clip to my 14yr old. b4 robin williams we had johnny winters cutting a trail of comedy spontinaity

  • sometimes i could really do without seeing the sour stuffy assholes in the audience. winters was a master. williams is amazing, though he can be a bit much at times. long live comedy.............

  • I saw Alison Angrim out there too

  • Vanessa Williams is more beautiful, the older I get. Johnathan Winters is a class act I always loved to watch him. Now with the wonder of YouTube, you can catch many of his performances. While RW had his moments, listening to him can be tedious at times. Had to take another look when someone mentioned Roseann Barr...

  • The crowd sucked ass.

  • two men that make the world a little brighter

  • Robin Williams as TinTin...Uhuh.

  • Well, if any of you are interested, spend the time and view as many Jonathan Winters videos as you can. Because besides the well known fact among working comedians that Williams is a thief and steals everyone else's material, you will start to notice something that is so very overwhelmingly obvious; Robin Williams whole career is a Jonathan Winters impersonation. Sad, but very true...

He's certainly not the only person to start a career by impersonating someone a generation or two back.

  • @globrain When you say his whole career is a JW impersonation; I have to correct you there; Robin Williams is kind of like Winters in the fact that he does create different characters on the spot, but Winters would pause for a moment or two in between jokes to give u time to stop laughing. Williams doesn't give you time to stop laughing, its a modern trait Williams picked up from people like Carson. Have you ever seen Williams in "Good Will Hunting"? cause thats how Williams differs from Winters

  • @JoshyKel I've seen Williams "act" many times. But it's his stand-up routine I'm talking about. He's a J.W. clone... pauses or not. I was shocked when I watched The J.W. Show back-to-back with Williams doing his routine.

I'm sure I can't be the only one who's picked up on this...

  • @globrain i think after seeing a lot of Winters material that u are right about Williams career being an impersonation of Winters. and im sure Winters was intelligent enough to recognise that. and i don't really think he appreciated Williams mimicking him to such an extent.

  • God that audience fucking sucked.

  • I liked Robin's, "the many, the one, Johnathan Winters!" And even at 82, John's mind isn't completely frozen up by the ennui of retirement.

  • @chernobylFarms Nicely stated. As much as I admire RW's talent, his sense of taste is minimal. He's more interested in upstaging than most comics of which I'm aware. Winters is a living comic god -- bitter, but still too talented for measure. Everyone should know his work.

  • wow wow wow...2 of the greatest men in comedy. what is the date of this?

  • i iwsh dating videos was manditory..im presuming this was recent?

  • vannessa, so hot!

  • TY you so much robinbiter! just to see these 2 geniuses on stage together made my morning. TY!

  • You know he's good if he inspired Robin Williams.

  • @emmtampa yeah your right. you forgot that he went to Julliard. so they must be idiots too. Do you even know how hard it is to get accepted to Julliard? Harder than Yale or Harvard. trust me. i know. i got rejected by Julliard. I did get into a major conservatory, but Julliard was an extreme longshot.

  • @brianCIM Just to strengthen your statement, I had a friend in college theater that told us he had the dubious distinction of being tossed out of Juliard, not once...BUT TWICE!!! It was amazing they accepted him back the second time!

  • One of the best comedians of all time!

  • The unhesitating take(s) with the plane overhead shows why there are these two, and then all the others.

  • Very important for me to know Jon is doing ok.

    he owes me money...

  • Da Godfadda of Improv!!

  • When was this???

  • lame audience

  • sorry, JIM carry

  • @ronrabia28 jim carrey. do you live in california? 3 strikes program and all that....

  • wouldn't it be great if they would make a comedy starring jonathan winters, robin williams and jom carrey!

  • That was great, but I am wondering what Robin said after the plane and it's meaning, if it really was an actual sentence. For anybody who speaks Japanese or a similar language (it sounded Asian to me but what do I know?) i recorded what it sounds like so you don't have to repeat the clip to hear it. Frm what I heard, it sounded like: Shiriguoy! Hairoguanatoday! Try saying it, because I'm positive I spelled it wrong.

  • Robin and Jonathan are great but what a lame audience.

  • Jonathan Winters really was a pioneering impressionist and comedian. I still find myself viewing his routines even though many of them were made before I was even born. I can still remember a time when you couldn't turn on a TV without him being on. He was everywhere in the 60's and 70's but you never got tired of seeing him, even now when many of his appearances are rerun.

  • What a classic! I'd love to see those two any time. It's not often that you see Robin crack up like that. LOL.

  • I have to say, as much as I had watched this for Jon, I can't help but be defeated by that cry that Robin gives out after the plane sounds off lmao Simply brilliant ^_^

  • At 1:23. Barbara Feldon still looks great!

  • wow fantastic what a team they would have made after mork and mindy

  • Jonathan Winters is the greatest. What a talent! I've been laughing myself hoarse at his incredible antics for around 50 years so far. May there be many more years of Mr Winters' unique humour. GOD BLESS YOU JONATHAN WINTERS, and heartfelt thanks from your millions of fans.
