omg you guys..the serie is about more than just the actors and martial arts..and if the director tought mark D wasn't right for the part he would have chosen someone else. i'm sure everyone would love to have brandon play in the series but he can't and we all know the reason..so get over it!!
I'm not a big fan of the other Crow movies but, out of all the actors and movies, this guy looks allot like Brandon Lee. And I don't much care for the show but I have to say I think it's cool they re made it. Because at least this guy is trying ya know? And he's doing pretty good.
What do you mean he's trying ? He's really good. He has better fighting skills than Brandon Lee. I still think Mark is way to underated to star in this cheap ass series. He should major in hollywood
I'm glad he decided to play Eric Draven instead of one of those other lame crows,he looks like Brandon Lee,and has the same it factor,Brandon Lee was the best thiugh,I think they should have had Mark Dacascos star in the other crow movies, they would have been alot better.
Mark Dacascos is all about martial arts, its in his blood. Why should he star in films such as The Crow. The Crow does not include martial arts, its not what its about. I'm being critic of the film, it was nice. The main protoganist of the film, Eric Draven is a rock star, not even chineese, with no knowledge of martial arts what so ever.
@shamim13333 Have you not read O'Barr's original? Eric (last name wasnt even draven in the original) did Ballet, was a swordsman, and did judo and other martial arts. So you have no clue what youre talking about. Secondly, How boring would it be if martial arts wasnt introduced to the film/series? I think mark and brandon were both perfect roles. Martial artists or not, its all about type casting. Dark, mysterious, long hair, etc...
@jeetkunedo117 Well nobody really expects The Crow film to have martial arts, it doesn't need to have it. The Character Eric Draven is a rock star, not even chineese. So how is it he possesses martial arts. I mean I know he became importal through the Crow, but why know martial arts skills.
@shamim13333 first misconception is that "he's not even chinese". idk what era you live in but you dont have to be chinese to know martial arts, and thats offensive to me because martial arts is my life and im italian and black. Second, i agree with you that he doesnt need it, but all im saying is that they add it to show power and excitement to the show and character.
@jeetkunedo117 Its ok, I understand. I didn't mean what i said about being chineess to know martial arts sorry. I meant that Mark and Brandon are half chineess but there supposdly pure white in the film . What's a bit stupid is they have martial arts on the series but in the actual film with Brandon Lee it didn't contain martial arts.
@shamim13333 thats true. idk there were some influences in the film, but in my opinion, since the original graphic novel had eric doing martial arts, i feel that it should be apart of the film too. but i hear you, he shouldnt know it being he is a rockstar, but you know.....
Why should martial artist actors such as Brandon Lee and Mark Dacascos play them? Its almost stupid enough having Jet li or Jackie Chan play them which would not just suit.
i'm just thankful i watched the first movie and the series its a great series!
mark did such a kickass job as Eric. hes just as good as Brandon in my opinion!
