Guys this is a really old science test/joke. I heard about it when i was a child.

It will work with the majority of people who have little understanding of chemistry (irrelent of there political opinions) and the main reason it works, in my opinion is because the word monixide when most people hear it is in a negative context such as carbon monioxide.
