My son wants an American Boy. I wrote to them to suggest that but they said they were not interested in exploring that at this time. It's all good. I got an American Girl with messed up hair on Ebay and re-wigged, repaired and cleaned it. Now it is an Amercan Boy. I sincerely doubt that; lots of kids believe their dolls are real, actually hear them and have conversations with them; its all part of imagination.
