I think Judge Nepolitano is a great man, I am behind him in his efforts. When asking a judge however about his legal stance as a constitutional scholar, I don't think his personal beliefs based on religious theology should have even been brought up in conversation. But I'd vote for him if he ran.

@MrXstacey I think he's alright. Some good ideas here and there, alot of ideas I'm not so crazy about. That's more a problem I have with right leaning libertarians than the Judge himself. So, I thought it was appropriate to point out his deviation from libertarianism with his beliefs on abortion.

But it's ok to have beliefs that differ from your main political philosophy (if you have one). Example, I consider myself to be pretty liberal but I am very much in favor of gun rights (within reason).

We elect 308 members of parliament, and the leader of the party with the most seats gets to be Prime Minister. So I've gotten past the idea of voting for parties, I vote for the local candidate who best supports my ideals. If I were to exclude politicians for one item I didn't agree with, there would be no one for me to vote for. I do find our politics to be more issue based than party based overall.

There are also ways to force new elections under the right conditions.
