@NorthPortDevil that's easily answered when you understand the level of knowledge and integrity that you are dealing with when you associate with a world-wide organization that filters public information for/into our own government. wrong or right? you be the judge! maybe we have only ourselves for giving information to those whom we shouldn't!

maybe we should assess more carefully to whom we give info before doing so.

think about it.

cont'd It only lasted a second or so ,I asked if the driver saw it and like me he was stunned.My brother saw a triangular craft similar to the Illinois police sightings of a decade ago but he saw it in 1971!

@FloridaMUFON,an actuarial expert might feedback on your last part,but no,I'm not a "Nasty negativist" just someone who has followed the phenomena for 45 years and like Stanton Freidman thinks the vast majority of sightins can be explained.I actually had a sighting with a coworker in New London,Ct. in 1999.We were driving up towards the USCG Academy at 4:30 am when I saw a white circle of light probably 10 ft .It looked like a normal searchlight at ground level at over

3000 mph.Incredible.

@edfeltch I agree but the figure percentage has been thrown around for years. It needs context. Expert i guess is a word used usually due to the lack of a better word to describe a person who studies an unknown for many years. I purely subscribe to scientific method and sometimes that is seen as being judgmental but it really is not. I am more open to peoples' opinions then many put off. When it comes to theory I become a critical thinker.

@edfeltch Stranger things have happened. Yes the primary witness is a police officer and the secondary witness is active duty military. I assume you do not see much credibility in the UFO phenomena. Who would make a good witness then if there is something arbitrarily wrong with a police officer and Iraq vet?

@FloridaMUFON Just like in criminal investigations the trained observer is typically the more credible if there is not physical evidence or independent witnesses. MUFON has not rewritten this notion and utilize what has been proven in the field of witness analysis. Don't get me wrong it is not easy and the line is thin between good and bad witnesses sometimes. If you want an extreme example, a jet pilot is a better witness than a bus driver. It is not a judgment of a persons intel.
