Yes the Wii was innovative but a lot less than people first thought. The Wii-mote is much too limited as to what it can detect and no matter how innovative it may be the console's motion sensitivity gets boring VERY quickly and the console being almost entirely focused on casual gamers who buy into anything, like yourself, doesn't help that fact. The Wii-mote cant detect the slight twist of a wrist. It can't detect the small movement of a gun. That's why it fails, no matter how innovative it is.
Why say the motion controls fail? It's the developer's job to implement it. It's not the device it self. It works fine and accurately only if the developers work their ass off at it. Go try Metroid Prime 3 and you'll see what I mean and I utterly don't understand what's the negativity from you folks about Wii. I've never heard of this much bitching from gamers when the GameCube was around, so what makes the Wii so different to just bitch about senselessly and retardedly for?
I own a Wii. I thought it was a god send for the first month I had it. I never beat MP3, but I got very far in it. But anyways, you're right. Most developers don't put the time and effort into making the game good AND making sure the controls are perfect. But the actual Wii controller, is not as sensitive as you may think. It only works so well in MP3 because all you do in that game with it is aim at a stationary screen. You hardly move, and it performs its job in that situation seemlessly.
But, that's as far as it goes. You could NEVER have a real-time sword fighting game for the Wii. Your sword on the screen could never mimic your Wii-mote exactly or even closely. It's too 'off' to be considered a breakthrough, and is why it will always be a gimmick intended to attract non-gamers and casual gamers into buying it. "I can control my character?!" And then Nintendo has a blatent "Yes" as a follow-up, but they forgot to say "with limitations" after that yes.

im thinking it should take place on both fronts, the European and Pacific, because it just wouldnt be a ww2 game if u dont have Germans in it :D, but otherwise, this will be awesome.

the flame thrower and being able to climb up trees and the vehicles r great n all but they should stick to modern war. 3 ww2 games is more than enough. i can only hope that they would consider going back to the modern times for COD6. that would be great. this looks good anyway but if it was modern war then it would make it 2 times better. :p

CoD World at War isn't on PS2. They really have to stop making stuff for PS2 anyways. Sony just drags PS3 down even more. They need to work on their new system and leave PS2 in the past like Gamecube and X-box are. PS2 also drags wii down on some things like ports.

The Wii is simply a glorified gamecube and is running everything it's got on a gimmick that people buy into. Motion Control.
Yes, it has what you can call good graphics, but really now? Look at the 360 and PS3. I didn't care about graphics either, but once you experience games like Bioshock, playing Mario Galaxy is crap.
It has a few amazing games, but it's real problem is that is almost exclusively focuses on casual gamers. People who will play it once every 3 days for like 20 minutes.

It has few hardcore games, while the PS3 and 360 have plenty, and it's motion control is just a gimmick to get people to buy it, but it never delivers.
It's not sensitive enough to pick up the smallest little nudge of your hand. Sword fighting in a Wii game sounds fun, but that's never really what the Wii gives you. Anyone else here ever played Red Steel? Yea, you know what I'm talking about.
Oh yea, it's online also fails.....really really hard.

You people are so single-minded and blind to know anything about gaming. Nintendo's motion control isn't a gimmick, it's an innovation so know your difference. You only classify Wii as a GameCube because of what you think of their games and their graphics and that's all of your pointless complaints about them. I like playing Nintendo's consoles and games and even XBox as well and Mario isn't crap. Super Mario is considered to be a legendary series next to Zelda and I love Super Mario and I'm 18.

Yes the Wii was innovative but a lot less than people first thought. The Wii-mote is much too limited as to what it can detect and no matter how innovative it may be the console's motion sensitivity gets boring VERY quickly and the console being almost entirely focused on casual gamers who buy into anything, like yourself, doesn't help that fact. The Wii-mote cant detect the slight twist of a wrist. It can't detect the small movement of a gun. That's why it fails, no matter how innovative it is.

Why say the motion controls fail? It's the developer's job to implement it. It's not the device it self. It works fine and accurately only if the developers work their ass off at it. Go try Metroid Prime 3 and you'll see what I mean and I utterly don't understand what's the negativity from you folks about Wii. I've never heard of this much bitching from gamers when the GameCube was around, so what makes the Wii so different to just bitch about senselessly and retardedly for?

I own a Wii. I thought it was a god send for the first month I had it. I never beat MP3, but I got very far in it. But anyways, you're right. Most developers don't put the time and effort into making the game good AND making sure the controls are perfect. But the actual Wii controller, is not as sensitive as you may think. It only works so well in MP3 because all you do in that game with it is aim at a stationary screen. You hardly move, and it performs its job in that situation seemlessly.

But, that's as far as it goes. You could NEVER have a real-time sword fighting game for the Wii. Your sword on the screen could never mimic your Wii-mote exactly or even closely. It's too 'off' to be considered a breakthrough, and is why it will always be a gimmick intended to attract non-gamers and casual gamers into buying it. "I can control my character?!" And then Nintendo has a blatent "Yes" as a follow-up, but they forgot to say "with limitations" after that yes.
