  • that awkward moment when you realise you live only a couple minutes away from this place and you don't appreciate it like all the other viewers.

  • they made this music on garage band.

  • The Sphere

    those jellyfish man...

    those jellyfish....

  • anyone else think of finding nemo? :D

  • They do not sting, because there is no predators. Since they're the only species (other than algae,) they adapted, and thus they do not have stingers.

  • No Peanut Butter Fish? But seriously, folks, that is what MRSA looks like to a microbe... not a good sign...

  • how did they not get stung

  • @kapua97 It's said that those jellyfish in that certain lake do not sting because they never had predators to protect themselves with their stingers. Leading them to evolve without stinging, I read that on OMG Facts :))

  • @Sarahloveschico These are just a type of Moon Jelly which don't sting, just the ones with long, flowing tentacles sting.

  • 0:39 he grabs the little jelly...hehehe

  • thats disturbing.....

  • JELLYFISHING!!! JELLYFISHING!!! JELLYFISHING!!!

  • These jellyfish haven't had predators in over 12,000 years so they lost the need to defend themselves therefore losing their stinging abilities through the process of evolution.

  • What kind of jelly fish are they?

  • @DeadlyBeefman Called Golden Jellyfish...unique of that lake. They got trapped in that lake times ago, and they adapted to live in that lake, they can't stung and live only on algae that live on their body, their only predator are anemones...

  • omg... can i live here???

  • Those jelly fish cant sting you.. you can touch them they feel squshy

  • Over time these jellyfish lost there stingers and can not sting.

  • wont they get stung!? are these non poisonous? i thought all jellies are poisonous....

  • Wouldnt that dude get stung by them?

  • Aren't they getting burned by doing that?

  • @Septhin No in this lake the jellyfish are harmless.I'm sure for the orange jellyfish but for the blue at 0.15 i don't know.

  • @CrazyBoyHERO Oh, alright, haha. I would never swim there anyway though... I dont like slimey things :(

  • THEY LOOK LIKE POPCORN!

  • Comment removed

  • I would give anything to swim in that lake.

  • don't they sting you?

  • @krazycore these jellyfish have no stingers :)

  • I would die.

  • @nickwtflol28 yep mine too I'm DEAD scared of jellyfish

  • they dont sting but id still be scared haha

  • @GenNarwhal i know because with my luck id come across one that mutated to have super strong instant killing venom

  • @aloha1827 It was actually probably filmed in this very unique location. It is believed that the jellyfish wandered there way into a lagoon of sorts in Palau, and then the lagoon became closed off from the ocean by a rock slide. With no access to the outside, and no predators within the lake, the jellyfish lost their stinging ability simply because there was no need for it anymore.

  • @TheSalemW and they'll develop it again if those humans keep on disturbing them lol

  • I wanna do this before I die.

  • very cool, i think this video was done in the fiji islands...where there is a constant flow of fresh water( no salt ) jellyfish can only sting you in salt water..if my facts are correct..

  • @aloha1827 haha nope, it was done in palau. the jellyfish are trapped in a semi freshwater environment. they're enclosed so they eventually lost their ability to sting.

  • be careful, they electrocute you

  • @tomo933 nope, they don't have stingers. :)

  • Even though they don't sting... I'd be creeped out. :P

They seem like they are too. Going like... "you're all supposed to be scared of me!!"

  • golden jellyfish and moon jellyfish <3

  • what if someone released a couple pirhana in there? or something that would actually eat them.

  • @johnross456 Turtles, two type of fish and a few invertibraes come to mind. That's all I can think of. >.<

  • why they didnt sting

  • @Niya94189

Those jellyfishes adapted since it's landlocked and they have no predators near them. They do have stingers but it evolved to the point that their stingers became so weak it doesn't hurt.

  • moon jellyfish?

  • i never saw/see a jelly fish...huhu

  • @08creamcrop You dont want to :P

  • @ThePCguy13 y???

  • @08creamcrop They can really hurt u.. trust me D:

  • @ThePCguy13 are they reallyy stingiiii???

  • omg. i want to go there so badly!

  • ummmm yeah some of you need to read the description. it clearly says "non-stinging jellyfish"

  • Can you touch them? :3

  • @wafflepiepancake yup : ] they don't have stingers.

  • watt r u ppl doing there

  • maan, if u was there i'll like "Dont move a godamn muscle, those little boneless bastars are so dangerous, they bite patrick until death"

  • I bet dory would have fun in that....

  • Any other animals like sharks live in there too? just asking because it used to be a part of the ocean from what I've heard

  • @thebastardnerd1337 nope. recently there have been reports of baby crocodiles. luckily the entire area is safeguarded by marine biologists and maritime rangers that make sure the predator to prey population is well maintained and balanced.

  • i watch this because my lil bro just got stung by a jellyfish....

  • you mean DARWIN was right!!!!!!

  • look at Radiohead - nude (jellyfish lake) HD

  • QUICK GET THE SLICES OF BREAD!!!

  • @MEGAF4IL lol

  • omg they re swiimming with JELLIES.:O

  • who would swim in there?! >:|

  • @paloozapoofshhh I would. These jellies use to migrate to this lake forever ago. But the tunnel they used was blocked off. They lost their poision because they no longer have predators or traditional prey. They live through photosynthesis now. These jellies are completely harmless to humans. And htis is nature being the best at adaptablility!

  • @Ayrebird

oh umm i still wouldnt swim in there. but you can.

  • IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • There's over 9000 of them!

  • @TheMida4 IT'S OVER 9000!!! HAHAHAHA

  • the brown one even if they are big dont't do anything they are nice jelly fish but the white one are mean and hurt as hell

  • so they cant sting or dont see the need?

  • I bet sponge bob could have the time of his life in that lake ;)

  • @Guilkdp

YA but what about when he goes into the ocean and doesnt think they'll sting him!

  • Actually those jellyfish do sting, but due to lack of large prey in the area over time they have evolved to feed of photosynthesis and their stingers have become very weak, so weak that they have no effect on humans and can barely be felt

  • One of my teachers told us about this, he's been there and he had about 15 jellyfish perched on his arm, he took a picture, this is really neat, i'd like to go here sometime :P

  • that lake is like, awesome. I love it!! I wish I could be there too!! It sounds like an awesome adventure.

  • Weird they don't sting seeing as that is how the jellyfish catch and eat their food... I bet those aren't really jelly fish but squishy robots! =D

  • @MyAprilSide They feed using photosynthesis, and there is no predator, therefore they do not need to have poison.

  • @MyAprilSide hahaha they rely on photosynthesis for food :)

  • Spongebob better get his net ready xD

  • 0:39 i would actually do that! (the guy on the left)

  • Why the fuck would they want to do this?!

  • A chance to pet a jellyfish without agony... WANT

  • I see you.

  • i love jellyfish lake I miss palau best 8 months of my army life

  • what if one get in ur nose :D

  • Dud really that is soooo cool dose ut hurt when they sting you or trie

  • @merrickpadlla They don't have stingers

  • Now that is cool

  • are u guys on drugs??? i mean come on?? who would dive into such a lake?? some humans are just fked up!!!

  • @melisanthie They are not poisonous. They're harmless. Those jellyfish have lost their ability to sting because there are no predators in that lake. It’s become known as their safe heaven. You can even touch them and they won’t fret because they have no reason to. Not only that, but they feel so cool! But anyway, no one has ever died from swimming in this lake.

  • @melisanthie lol did you actually read the video description?

  • I WAS THERE!!! I'M PALAUAN :{D but i live in the states D: it sucks

  • I would be scared that out of all of those jelly fish there would be a select few that would sting you. Although, it would be cool to swim in it. I mean, how many people can say they swam in a "pool of jellyfish" before??

  • @lindsaymcculloch dude did you not read the subtital below the video is sead the lake is full of non stinging jellyfish so none of thim will sting you so its safe

  • KILL'EM ALL

  • it probably feels like bubbles when you swim

  • whos videoing that doesnt he get stung

  • how does he not get stung???

  • ive been there, and its REALLY FUCKIN BADDASS.

  • ok if some of those jellyfishes dont sting meh I would totaly swim there and catch one and make it a pet... nah I'll just leave it alone

  • @mrjohantheman actually they can be kept in aquarium but it's really hard and expensive.

  • @mrjohantheman because they are exetreemely sensitive to enviroment.

  • can they sting ???

  • This guy got stung by boxed jelly fish 5 times and he died and saw heaven and hell!!

"Ian McCormack (Part 1 of 10) Former atheist - man dies visits heaven and hell"

    watch?v=V0ElkkYj4o0

  • dude im so high right now.

  • what will happen when you throw a lot of very poisened jellyfish in there

  • Every Jellyfish In There Is Named Squishy! :D

  • I would swim in that lake in a heartbeat. I would love to glide to and fro with the jellies.

  • such amazing creatures

  • EVEN WHEN ITS NON STINGING I EVER THINK ABOUT SWIM ON THAT LAKE U GUYS ARE VALIENT HEHEHE!

  • they did not sting u

  • Woow pretty!!

  • I know this sounds random but how deep is that lake? Im guessing around 200 ft.

  • @USBornSoccerPlayer it's actually only about 30m (approx. 100ft). visitors are warned however not to dive too deep because of the anoxic bottom. the plants around the lake have caused a very acidic hydrogen sulfide bottom.

  • holy shit

  • DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY!

  • Many things we don't really know, but we present it like we do. So the question is this. Should we eat Jelly-Fish, even if it, whether or not its other parts, can cause serious harm to the human body?

  • There must be thousands of them :O. I would love to go swimming in there and just see all of the squishy little guys floating around. Jellyfish are some of the coolest animals on the planet in my opinion.

  • They don't sting? That's so awesome! I'll take twenty!

  • I shall call him squishy, and he shall be mine, and he shall be my squishy :D But seriously I would hate to be in this lake, even if they dont sting, i'd be terrified as all get out! I mean there are (possibly) THOUSANDS!!! Creepy, a living hell for me O.o

  • looks like its time to go to Palau and have a jellyfish fight.

  • That is so cool!

  • This is just my hell.

  • Dude did someone throw one of those jellyfish at 0:41?

  • one gets in your face *pity slap*

  • there should be loadz more jellyfish in that lake..

  • that is orgasmic

  • I don't care if they can't sting. The feeling of them touching me makes me want to pukee. Ew.

  • people touch them all the time even in almost every video of jellyfish lake

  • can you keep the jellyfish you find in the lake

  • @mrannotions they'll die even you touch them. so no.

  • @TheParanoidPandas they cant die if you touch them because they sell them in stores and you can touch them cause they dont sting

  • This reminds me if finding nemo : )

  • do they sting?

  • The last jellyfish had insane speed. Next gen jellyfish (flying) will take over the world.

First spiecies will be the stupidest animal there is (they have no brain) :)

Then Some crazy scientist will manipulate a flying jellyfish spiecies with a brain. And THEN we are doomed.

  • technically they do sting but there stinging cells aren't high enough or something like that but yes they do sting

  • Sad that no moon jellies has been in my country(Sweden) yet. They got replaced by red stinging jellies instead, quite annoying since they haven't been on the West coast of Sweden in my town for over 10 years, and now they retaliate :/

  • @hazeri i wouldn't worry about the moon jellies. the reasons you don`t see them is probably because the Lions manes "the red ones" are preying on them, which is normal. You can probably still find them if you dive for them. Be warned though, like most jellies they tend to be somewhat cryptic, sometimes when you look for them they are impossible to find but then at other times they are everywhere!

  • What do they want from us?

  • @WitnessToChrist

    I love you.

  • The bigger transparent one is a Moon Jelly. They have a nerve net on their body. I believe the tentacles and oral arm also contain cnidocysts. That means they probably sting, although I could be wrong.

  • I will get a moon jelly and name it squishy

  • It would be spiteful,

To put jellyfish in a trifle.

  • Yes thousads of years ago, ocean levels raised and left this lake cut off from the ocean. These Jellyfish have lost their need for stingers because the lack of predators in the lake.

  • @capino01

    thx

  • i'm not swimming in that lake. FUCK THAT

  • @fourfives89 I have sam in jellyfish infested waters. But they give you some sort of gillie suit so you wont get stung. But it wasent this lake

  • @fourfives89 The Jellyfish there are completly harmless. Not only are they the world's only two specis of Freshwater Jellys, but the only two specis of stingless ones as well.

  • @fourfives89 those jellyfish don't sting.

  • @fourfives89 he says in the description that they dont sting so it would probably be kinda fun 2 swim in there

  • @fourfives89 haha dont be a pussy

  • What is the song?

  • @mark111112 Oddly, it's called "Jellyfish Lake." It was composed using Apple's Soundtrack program.

  • @PupdocDiver ftw?! you did create thins song? Nice Work! and i don't would swim in that lake :$

  • They are soooo weird and awesome!!

  • It would be spiteful

To put jellyfish in a trifle.

  • make sure not to hit them with your flipper D:

theyre NON STINGING, they didnt do anything to you :c

  • LETS BUM THIS JELLYFISH!

  • The clear jellyfish looks suspicious. Is that stingless also?
