  • There was a song i heard that was fantastic and it sounded like they were saying "Eternal" in the song. Can some one tell me what this song is please cos i can't find it!!!

  • You may have heard Cursum Perficio by Enya. It's in Latin and sounds like a doomsday theme at the end, with the

word "aeternum" finishing the bar. Enya favors Latin for her darker themes. It must have been that Roman Catholic upbringing.

  • *gasp* IT IS!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! <333

  • Irish is sooo hard to learn though, im am determined to be fluent in a few years though, love Irish + Eire.

Enya is amazing. Love her LOTR song..XD

  • It's just something about Irish women - they sing like Angels! And Gaelic is so romantic without being a romance language.

    Love Enya <3 :)

  • Muito lindo. Lembra um pouco o fado português.

  • She is the embodiment of her name " Enya" faerie Queen or member of the Sidhe she truly employs the mystic awe inspiring music of the etheric realm. She brings tot he common person that which is pure and without ego.

  • She calls us back

we lost children of the famine

starving as we are feasting mammon

our spirits quake to her haunting cry

her melody speaks sincerity to our hearts

our souls long for the souls friend

  • I Think that mountain that shows on the video at 1:00 is called Mynydd Maw, i grew up by there :o)

  • And how do you pronounce that?

  • WOOW in Her Voice i can hear great Mystic she sing like a Angel on Earth

  • is she irish??? no wonder she is so perfect

  • The perfection does not belong to a country. It doesn't belong to anyone of us, which is good for us.

  • @LittleIrishLulu haha i agree us irish rock x]

  • @LittleIrishLulu she's actually from iraq

  • @TomFuIp

She's from Iraq??!!! She's Irish, you idiot. Where did you come up with the idea that she's Iraqi?

  • @Manfromelpaso I was joking

  • @LittleIrishLulu

Explain how the fuck you mean that ?

  • @mcbrian12 why??????

  • @pancholorentay

    how.is.one.woman.to.be.''so.perfect'',only.by.being.irish?

  • @mcbrian12 Perhaps.because.in.Ireland.they.teach.kids.not.to.put.a.period.in.between.every.word.as.if.it.were.a.space.

  • @kettoshii

    hearda broken keyboard ?

    wayne

  • @LittleIrishLulu She is from the Northwest part of Ireland known as Donegal. I have been there many times. It is beautiful and still somewhat unchanging.

  • @polslu she's not swedish ::))

  • @polslu "Moron"..LMFAO.She is Irish you plonker and she is singing in Irish now.Idiot

  • @1984ioc too funny! hahahahaha! "plonker"! (WTF...someone said she was SWEEDISH? LMFAO!)

  • @Leeder1109 Unbelievably, yes someone said she was swedish and then went onto call a person a moron for saying she was not Swedish.Im not too sure many many people in Sweden are fluent in Gaeilge either ;-) but who knows.

  • @LittleIrishLulu yes she is

  • un pur moment dedetente ,rien de mieux pour resourcer. parfait, intemporelle!

  • their voice is music. my heart fly...

  • Really beautifull song, but I wonder everytime how esthetic surgery can change a face. She's looking like the mother of my best friend in here. What happend to her nose, her teeth?

But changing her appereance helped her music to flow in by looking at here. She's looking like a elfin now

  • her voice is what matters,by chance are you American?

  • would that be Tier'dal, Koada'dal or Fier'dal? LOL

  • exactly she is much more etherial now..those cheekbones, the eyes,as if she steppes out of a dream...i don't like her at all here!

  • Yes she is singing in Gaelic (Irish) it is a very relaxing song.

  • gaeilge not gaelic. gaelic is Irish football.I do not speak Irish football.

  • Is she singing in GAELIC?

  • Enya...guarantee for tears.

  • Love Enya.

Music Heals Helps Gives Teaches Spirit Joy New Life New Start...

  • So true u_u

  • Go hiontach!

  • Bellísima.

  • one of my favourite Enya's songs

  • LandL, thanks for posting this video. I've never seen it before.

  • .I.

  • ha ha ha, Race, Sex, Who, Where, When?

Ha Ha Ha. Relax and Enjoy.

And remember Ears are color blind. ha Ha Ha.

  • (sighs)...why does EVERYTHING ultimately revert back to race or sexuality? WTH is wrong with everyone?

  • beauty...

  • What? I ain't black, buts your cold, She's for everybody, and even Enya would agree with me.

  • enyas from the gaeltacht the irish speaking area of here and her sister and brothers and uncles who made up clannad were also tho enya herself doesnt have half as many songs in irish than clannad

  • I for one am tired of idiots who want to brand music with a racial tag. It is so stupid. People like what they like.because it touches them. That is the way of true humanity.

  • Im black, but not from the "hood" or whatever. And I love her music. My stepdad is white and got me listening to her. It doesnt really matter what race or where you are from to have to love Enya.

  • That's true......

  • i found it interesting that you had to specify that you were not from the Hood. as IF TO SAY the blacks from the hood would not listen to this kind of music or that you were in some way entitled to listen to it because you were not from there. i suppose because the gentleman before felt so obliged to lable himself it inclined you to do the same. in any event i only want to say that it doesnt matter what you are, there is no music that is black music or white music. MUSIC IS OF THE SOUL.

  • thats sooo true ^_^

  • i agree ,i am a full blooded african american and i luv her music

  • @rockerluv well said!!

  • @rockerluv very nice example of antiracism in musical genres. however, i have never seen a black fan of metal :)

  • @pipari44 I like a little AC/DC, just a little, but I am a huge fan of rock, and one of my fav groups of all time is Def Leppard.

  • @rockerluv I am Black and from the "hood" and I like her music just as much as I like Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.

  • I'm probably the only black male that's from the hood that loves her and her sister's music.....A year and half ago i drove up to Philadelphia from Baltimore by myself just to see Moya and me and her talked for a good while,....I loved it

  • awesome

  • Don't generalize so much. There are a great deal of black people "from the hood" who like her music. Take my brothers and their friends, for instance.

  • you arent the only black male from baltimore that loves her, i got my friends hooked onto Enya.

  • Manys a time I stood at that old burnt out church and looked up at Errigal. Had the best times of my life up there in Dún Luiche on the summer courses.

  • Dieing Language..This Gaelic...

  • That Uileann flute. That Gaelic. This will always be beautiful. It will never grow old.

  • amazing ;)

  • this sounds like dreaming,so peacfull,very beautiful!

  • Wow

  • I think heaven gave the irish some of it's musical talents especially enya.

  • Amen...

  • One of my favorite songs of her's

  • think she's 44

  • no rock, no pop, no reagge, ENYA is the best!

  • how old is she now enyone tell me??

  • She's 47 now

  • I used to play this song, over and over...

with only a single candle lit....

watching the winter snows howl outside

    my window....

    both of equal equal beauty....

  • dat wil prob be ireland its were shes frm and she can speak irish witch is wat this song is in

  • The landscape in the video is County Donegal, most likely Dore, where she's from.

  • Actually, it's Dun Luiche (Dunlewy) I live in Gaoth Dobhair and I know Enya and her family. I sing with her Mother and Father every weekend at mass. But you werent far off with Dore.

  • Isn't Dun Luiche like 10 miles or from Dore?

  • Yeah dunlewy is'nt even as far as 10 miles from dore, have u ever been to donegal, it's really lovely but we dont appreciate it like we should. Labharann gach duine i nGoath Dobhair gaeilge fosta, ach ta an teanga ag fáil bas go mall, ta sé chomh h-an bronach! (We all speak Irish aswell, it's a lovely language, but slowly it's dying, it's very sad!)

  • No, I haven't been to Doneagal, but I'd love to :D I'm thinking of going either next year, or the year after :D. Gaeilge's a beautiful language, but not enough people speak it. I'm English, and I'm learning to speak it :D

  • "Is beatha teanga í a labhairt" (Iss bya-ha tyang-a eee a lau-irt) The survival of a language is in its speaking. (as Gaeilge) Tá me ag foghlaim Gaeilge a cuig bhliain, anois. I have been teaching myself Irish for the past five years now. :o)

  • you mean Gaelic>?

  • Ashranlyyah- It is called Gaelic in English but most Irish people say "Irish" as Gaelic can also mean Scottish Gaelic. The names in their own languages are "Gaeilge" for Irish and "Gàidhlig" for Scottish. The Ulster dialect that Enya speaks is the closest Irish dialect to Scots Gaelic. A fluent speaker of Ulster Irish will be able to understand most spoken Scotish Gaelic. They sound similar but the spelling is very different from Irish.

  • Fascinating...

  • This is the first time I've listened to this song by her. I absolutely love the melody.

  • WOW...un video raro!!!

  • what a beautiful place

  • This is music of the heart that never leaves!

  • this is 1 of my favorites songs from her !!!

  • Beautiful! I love the singing and the sound of the pipes. It's a pity the quality of the video and sound isn't better.

  • youtube com/watch?v=KPiqmrSHitU

    cleaner version=D

  • Someone referred to scenes from Limerick. Perhaps the beach scenes were from Limerick but the the church where Enya sings, the valley with the lake are in the Poison Glen (Gleann Nimhe) in Dun Luiche (Dunlewy) in the Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore) area where Enya is from.

The pictures of the rocky sort of mountain is Mount Errigal, near Dun Luiche and is the highest mountain in Donegal.

I have been there a number of times and been inside that abandoned church and it is in the Poison Glen

  • I'm sure it was beautiful inside...

  • Amazing

  • This woman needs no musik this woman is the music the more often i hear it the more amazing it gets

  • think thats what the human voice was all about all along:) at its best the voice is one of the true original instruments no?:)

  • nice T.T

  • Wow, she looks so young here. :)

This song still touches my heart. Thanks for the upload. I've never seen this video before!

  • Very nice song.

  • Great music.

  • The sound of those Jueillan pipes really put an Irish touch to this. Wow!!

  • Uilleann pipes not jueillan

  • I stand corrected. Still very irish

  • ha i wasnt bein an ass just letting ya know!!

  • Nah no problem. I've seen this instrument played. It's manual with the air being squeezed into the pipes rather than blowing it by mouth. Slainte!

  • the most beautiful artist ever...thanks for uploading this video:X:X:X:X:*:*:*:*

  • I love the song... <3

  • i don't know what she's singing but it's beautiful anyway :)

  • (Translation: The bright days of my youth (In honor of my father and mother) Looking back over my youth I see I was contented Without knowledge of death I was young then Now I am worried During the course of the day. (Oh sorrow!) [Alas and woe, oh.] The bright days of my youth Were full of hope The big road that was before us then Was what was destined to be, Bye bye... )
  • I take it you're Irish. This is absolutely beautiful. The pipes are really fantastic! Her voice is one reason I want to go back to Ireland and appreciate this beauty. The country has my favorite color (GREEN). When my Aer Lingus plane got past the clouds and the Kerry Mountains came up, the resulting Green of the countryside was awesome!

  • I only was ever able to catch every other word, and couldn't properly translate it.

Go raibh mo agat, oh1life2live ;)

  • Don't try to understand the lyrics...only her voice is important.

  • oh man full of evil and all manner of wickedness yet deep within you lie an owesome beauty. you are a wonder amongs angels

  • Evil is subjective,'kainezee', what man is blessed with is just humility, truth and purity. That's it bro, that's all there is. We just got to recognize it. God Bless.

  • Beautiful song. It cut off too fast though, and the picture was a bit grainy, but Enya is georgeous. I love her ear rings too. Celtic jewelery. The scenes of County Limmerick are to die for. :)

  • Frankie McCourt would be proud

  • How dare you fight while listening to this fantastic music..Go fight somewhere else.

  • AAWW

  • great video

  • Enya rules <3

  • que joven se veia en este video, y dije joven por hermosa siempre a sido.

  • Welsh, welsh, its irish, what the hell would enya be singing in welsh for.

  • Irish, Welsh, Britain - all part of the Ancient Celts.

  • Yeah, to a certain point, but the languages differ hugely. Take French and Scots Gealic, for instance. They were both celtic areas before the Romans, therefore Latin, came along, but the differences in language are huge because of the different influences (there was less latin + anglo-saxon influence in scottland, as far ass I remember).

  • @AntarcticDreamer, Granted, but the Celts have a common ancestry. I recommend "The Celts: A History" by Peter Berresford Ellis. For the record, my ancestors are American dating back to the American Revolution, but before coming here, my ancestors were mostly Scots. Throw in a Dutch great-great grandfather, a Cherokee Indian great-great grandmother, and a Welsh great-grandfather to the mix, and you get a typical American. Yet, I'm very proud of my Celtic heritage. And, I love Enya's music.
