intresting someone thinks she's swedish but the video is in ireland, now that is kinda funny(and kinda ignorant since she could look it up on the internet...)
@Sportymike Since I discovered this video some months ago, I'd like to visit this place, Poison Glen and Dunlewey Church. You live in a place that looks really gorgeous !
enya est si envoutante, ces images sont simples et merveilleuses à la fois, elle me fait voyager et retrouver mon âme, cette chanson a quelque chose de profond et de caché, MAGNIFIQUE CHANSON!
There was a song i heard that was fantastic and it sounded like they were saying "Eternal" in the song. Can some one tell me what this song is please cos i can't find it!!!
She is the embodiment of her name " Enya" faerie Queen or member of the Sidhe she truly employs the mystic awe inspiring music of the etheric realm. She brings tot he common person that which is pure and without ego.
@LittleIrishLulu She is from the Northwest part of Ireland known as Donegal. I have been there many times. It is beautiful and still somewhat unchanging.
@Leeder1109 Unbelievably, yes someone said she was swedish and then went onto call a person a moron for saying she was not Swedish.Im not too sure many many people in Sweden are fluent in Gaeilge either ;-) but who knows.
Really beautifull song, but I wonder everytime how esthetic surgery can change a face. She's looking like the mother of my best friend in here. What happend to her nose, her teeth?
But changing her appereance helped her music to flow in by looking at here. She's looking like a elfin now
enyas from the gaeltacht the irish speaking area of here and her sister and brothers and uncles who made up clannad were also tho enya herself doesnt have half as many songs in irish than clannad
I for one am tired of idiots who want to brand music with a racial tag. It is so stupid. People like what they like.because it touches them. That is the way of true humanity.
Im black, but not from the "hood" or whatever. And I love her music. My stepdad is white and got me listening to her. It doesnt really matter what race or where you are from to have to love Enya.
i found it interesting that you had to specify that you were not from the Hood. as IF TO SAY the blacks from the hood would not listen to this kind of music or that you were in some way entitled to listen to it because you were not from there. i suppose because the gentleman before felt so obliged to lable himself it inclined you to do the same. in any event i only want to say that it doesnt matter what you are, there is no music that is black music or white music. MUSIC IS OF THE SOUL.
I remember the day when i 1st time heard song of Enya. I had 16years and i only hear 1st song and immediately I thought beautiful songs, beautiful melody, beautiful face YES in my opinion beautiful woman. 8years later i met in my hometown the woman. I had seen her and i said only OH MY GOD! Enya in our little foodshop? Unbelievable that woman was named "Ivana" and I fall in love in a one second We are married 12years and i thank to all angels that they brought me my own "ENYA". I love you wife
I'm probably the only black male that's from the hood that loves her and her sister's music.....A year and half ago i drove up to Philadelphia from Baltimore by myself just to see Moya and me and her talked for a good while,....I loved it
Don't generalize so much. There are a great deal of black people "from the hood" who like her music. Take my brothers and their friends, for instance.
Manys a time I stood at that old burnt out church and looked up at Errigal. Had the best times of my life up there in Dún Luiche on the summer courses.
Actually, it's Dun Luiche (Dunlewy) I live in Gaoth Dobhair and I know Enya and her family. I sing with her Mother and Father every weekend at mass. But you werent far off with Dore.
Yeah dunlewy is'nt even as far as 10 miles from dore, have u ever been to donegal, it's really lovely but we dont appreciate it like we should. Labharann gach duine i nGoath Dobhair gaeilge fosta, ach ta an teanga ag fáil bas go mall, ta sé chomh h-an bronach! (We all speak Irish aswell, it's a lovely language, but slowly it's dying, it's very sad!)
No, I haven't been to Doneagal, but I'd love to :D I'm thinking of going either next year, or the year after :D. Gaeilge's a beautiful language, but not enough people speak it. I'm English, and I'm learning to speak it :D

(Translation: The bright days of my youth (In honor of my father and mother) Looking back over my youth I see I was contented Without knowledge of death I was young then Now I am worried During the course of the day. (Oh sorrow!) [Alas and woe, oh.] The bright days of my youth Were full of hope The big road that was before us then Was what was destined to be, Bye bye... )
I take it you're Irish. This is absolutely beautiful. The pipes are really fantastic! Her voice is one reason I want to go back to Ireland and appreciate this beauty. The country has my favorite color (GREEN). When my Aer Lingus plane got past the clouds and the Kerry Mountains came up, the resulting Green of the countryside was awesome!
Evil is subjective,'kainezee', what man is blessed with is just humility, truth and purity. That's it bro, that's all there is. We just got to recognize it. God Bless.
Beautiful song. It cut off too fast though, and the picture was a bit grainy, but Enya is georgeous. I love her ear rings too. Celtic jewelery. The scenes of County Limmerick are to die for. :)
Yeah, to a certain point, but the languages differ hugely. Take French and Scots Gealic, for instance. They were both celtic areas before the Romans, therefore Latin, came along, but the differences in language are huge because of the different influences (there was less latin + anglo-saxon influence in scottland, as far ass I remember).
@AntarcticDreamer, Granted, but the Celts have a common ancestry. I recommend "The Celts: A History" by Peter Berresford Ellis. For the record, my ancestors are American dating back to the American Revolution, but before coming here, my ancestors were mostly Scots. Throw in a Dutch great-great grandfather, a Cherokee Indian great-great grandmother, and a Welsh great-grandfather to the mix, and you get a typical American. Yet, I'm very proud of my Celtic heritage. And, I love Enya's music.
Enya would be a lovely wife :)

You may have heard Cursum Perficio by Enya. It's in Latin and sounds like a doomsday theme at the end, with the
word "aeternum" finishing the bar. Enya favors Latin for her darker themes. It must have been that Roman Catholic upbringing.

Beautiful song. It cut off too fast though, and the picture was a bit grainy, but Enya is georgeous. I love her ear rings too. Celtic jewelery. The scenes of County Limmerick are to die for. :)

Irish, Welsh, Britain - all part of the Ancient Celts.
