But at the end of the day, the car with the bigger motor with more power is going to win... what happens when 2 cars are put against eachother that are equal weight, both equally skilled drivers (or automatics), both dead hook off the line... you still want a little 4 banger or do you want a V8(or hell something even bigger like this V10)? Putting money into slow cars with small motors can only take you so far...

i love my muscle cars. and we use to build them to street race. have no respect for nothing that was not a V8. my 1st encounter with a non V8 that kick ass was a buick grand national V6 turbo (not stock) 1988? lesson learn dont fuck with nothing that was turbo. i have never seen a car that could go get groceries full interior quiet engine and was a huge barge had fully working AC power windows and runs 9:90 et all day with small 9 inch eagles. and drive it back home 52 miles. turbo is no joke.
People fascinated with the fact that you can produce power with a Honda, and then worship them are fools. No shit a Honda can be made to go fast. It'd be a fun car to drive, but that doesn't make it a good performance platform. People comparing V8's to 4 cylinders are just as foolish. V8's have so much more overhead for power- while you're making 600 on a turbo'd 4 banger, and reaching the end of it's potential without going to one off parts, my N/A 388 is making that without breaking a sweat.

You're someone who obviously hasn't owned or driven both. Drive a "wrung out" 4 cylinder and watch your fuel economy go out the window. Once you start making power with a 4 cylinder, it starts sucking down fuel more than a V8 of similar power. The V8's mileage will stay about the same to a higher level of power than a 4 cylinder. At a certain point it will start to decrease in the same manner, but you're still making much more power at that point. Also, low end torque is king.

Put together a motor that makes 600 horsepower and gets 30mpg... Or 20. Or better yet, even 15. Ok? Then show me one. Because I don't believe it. Because its engine basics. To make power you need fuel. There are tricks you can do to maximize the amount of power you make from a certain amount of fuel, and when you take a small motor, even a turbo charged one, once you get to a certain point, the only way you're going to really make more power is to add more fuel. A 600-700hp 4 cylinder isn't going to get very good mileage, and will be more akin to a V8.
And that's one fact that all the import tuners that haven't built the motors they drool over don't realize. If that weren't the case EVERYONE would be going with coked up 4 cylinders and not touch a V8 (aside from the fact that those 4 cylinder engines don't make shit for torque). And yes, for the record, I do know my shit. I've had my hand in all sorts of engines, and while I have a preference, I don't have a bias. I respect power in any form.

@Pharaohsmn You really haven't done much background research on the NSX have you? It's widely used in Super GT, multiple classes of formula racing, and GT2 Class racing. Also has many appearances in the 24 Hours Of LeMans races. And just so you know, at the time of it's release, it was rated higher in almost every category than the Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche at that time(In both 2005 and 1990). The cool thing is the older NSX-R GT still in use world wide in the sport of racing.

@BaKeDCrAcKer He didn't use it regularly. Well I'm not sure what regular NOS use is, but he didn't use it every day. Most of the street races he came across he doesn't need it. But he used it every time he went to the track, and whenever we'd do the big boy street races under George Bush highway. Luckily it blew on a track, so he didn't get everyone in trouble with his stupidity.
As far as internals go. Eagle rods are AMAZING, and I got 4 eagle rods and heads for 700$ in my old 240. Not hard.

Not saying I want to be careless, but I'd rather there be room for error. If my intake manifold/intake piping or boots blows off, there's no fire. My mass-air-flow sensor detects no air passage through intake and my car simply shuts off. If that happens in a nitrous system in a hot car, it's basically a fire. Torching your nice ride

I've been to the track, I've probably seen it happen a total of 10 times. And I wasn't even there to witness my brother's mistake.

If you slowly purge it at the ember, sometimes the flame will even reach towards the purging point of the nitrogen, as that's where the oxygen can be at it's richest point. (As opposed to elsewhere where the oxygen is far less dense).

You're someone who obviously hasn't owned or driven both. Drive a "wrung out" 4 cylinder and watch your fuel economy go out the window. Once you start making power with a 4 cylinder, it starts sucking down fuel more than a V8 of similar power. The V8's mileage will stay about the same to a higher level of power than a 4 cylinder. At a certain point it will start to decrease in the same manner, but you're still making much more power at that point. Also, low end torque is king.

Ok? Then show me one. Because I don't believe it. Because its engine basics. To make power you need fuel. There are tricks you can do to maximize the amount of power you make from a certain amount of fuel, and when you take a small motor, even a turbo charged one, once you get to a certain point, the only way you're going to really make more power is to add more fuel. A 600-700hp 4 cylinder isn't going to get very good mileage, and will be more akin to a V8.

Also has many appearances in the 24 Hours Of LeMans races. And just so you know, at the time of it's release, it was rated higher in almost every category than the Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche at that time(In both 2005 and 1990). The cool thing is the older NSX-R GT still in use world wide in the sport of racing.

But he used it every time he went to the track, and whenever we'd do the big boy street races under George Bush highway. Luckily it blew on a track, so he didn't get everyone in trouble with his stupidity.
As far as internals go. Eagle rods are AMAZING, and I got 4 eagle rods and heads for 700$ in my old 240. Not hard.

Not saying I want to be careless, but I'd rather there be room for error. If my intake manifold/intake piping or boots blows off, there's no fire. If you slowly purge it at the ember, sometimes the flame will even reach towards the purging point of the nitrogen, as that's where the oxygen can be at it's richest point. (As opposed to elsewhere where the oxygen is far less dense).

Nice. I seen a 1980's Dodge Reliant (K-Car) do 10.41s in the quarter. Guy was a mechanic and only had about $3K into the whole project. Turbo 2.5l four cylinder. Talk about sleeper. He ain't getting laid with it, but it's fast.

My only question: How can you not find fourth gear??? 3rd to 4th is pretty much the easiest gear. I could see not being able to find 5th but wtf?? Really?? Couldnt find 4th?? Then again a gorilla of a man is in the driver seat.

@ernest0508 ha! JUST a civic.... more like a tuned to hell civic... look whats under the hood. that rt10 viper makes 500hp stock if i remember correctly, and civics can get somewhat reliable modded turbo performance at 350-450hp.<
