  • @cspazz6991969 The song is from the album "Bigger and Deffer" Bad is just the name of a song on the album.

  • @cspazz6991969 Bigger & Deffer was the name of his second album (after "Radio" then succeeded by "Walking with a panther" . "I'm Bad" was the lead single off "Bigger & Deffer" but it wasn't an album name. That pic is from the cassette single (First rap cassette I ever bought)...I upgraded to the CD now of course. This was his HARDEST album.

  • @shaecamille his second album was called bad .And that pic of him is also on the album cover.

is the best line in the song...

  • This song Kanday was the shit.

  • @Irockgswift indeed. I had this cassette when it came out in 87.

  • binka21 should die in his/her sleep

  • Yes, this is a beast, thats whats up N still up,LiL Angelz Gift Basketz, facebook/angelzbasketz

  • this song a beast. the beat is straight bonkers

  • I love LL. I was totally into this album back in 1987. One question though - why is he obsessed with having sex only in the dark? "I broke my lampshade in half because I don't use the light" LOL

  • why does LL wanna fuck in the dark? Ask him 646 8794229

  • that is seriously his # cuz if so im prank callin his ass!!!!!! lmao

  • nowalaters,gumdrop,jellybean. WOW

  • Classic man, not overly raunchy. Man that chorus is sick with the JB sample! I got to give the man credit, he is a lyricist.

  • I love the way this song came on after Bad and the bass was amazing

  • this is a str8 up old skool throw back

  • does anybody remember the (re)mix of IT NEVER RAINS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA w/ the track sounding similar to this?

  • dis my shittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!

  • Damn I use to love this song. My fav on Bigger and Deffer. Those were days. Now latas, gum drops, jelly beans.......classic!

  • I miss these days.me and my girls chillin in the hood listening ll cool j. dancing, laughing and talkin sh***. bring back da old dayz.

  • Classic Joint. I notice Nelly uses some lines from this song, "I'll never leave her for nothin only a crazy man would" and "Now and Laters, gumdrops, jelly beans"

  • damn........i use to LOVE THIS JOINT

  • Favorite track off of album!

  • man everybody that knows anything about what good music is knows that souja boy sucks so lets stop saying that its getting old now.

  • This was my first concert. LL Cool J, Public Enemy, and Doug E. Fresh. Them was the dayz!!! LL came out a big ass radio! The shit was sick!

  • CLASSIC 88 SONG. My boyfriend would mix LL songs all day in his room.

Miss the block parties and chillin at the park - NO DRAMA!!!

  • Let's educate Soulja Toy. Please send his ass the link to this track. While LL is simply busting over drums and a really simply scratch(push), THE TRACK IS STILL FULL! Why? L is an EMCEE! This is what it is. The drum programming is WAY PHATTER even though this track is 20 years old than any of that current shit.

Soulja Toy just ryhmes over (shitty sounding) drums... LL was basically the same age that Soulja Toy is now when he made this. This really speaks to difference in the fan base today.

  • L tells a story with tight rhymes. Soulja boy says 'yool!' and talks about supermanning hos. That's why L has had a 20yr career and in 20yrs nobody will know who soulja boy is.

  • with the money these kids are making nowadays, who really cares if you'll be remember. If you can be smart about your money, not get caught up in material goods. Stay healthy, have a family, hell thats what matters most!

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO I have to agree with you. This may be old school, but MC's of this time were 10x better and they all had their own style. Everyone today sounds alike or they bit they styles of these rappers. We should call todays MC Attack Of The Clones!!!

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO Excellent point you make. LL was about the same age as Soulja Boy when he wrote this, and their lyrical ability is miles apart. Back then most EMCEE'S like L were lyrical geniuses. Lyrical content use to be the focus of rap music. All rapper's needed was a simple beat and a nice DJ. Nowadays EMCEEING has taken a back seat to hooks, banging beats., and even corny dances...... now watch me YULE!!!!

  • @calstate LOL DUDE CORNY HOOKS AND DANCES HAVE BEEN A PART OF HIP HOP THE WHOLE TIME ITS BEEN AROUND....DO U REMEMBER THE PEE WEE DANCE JUST LOOK UP THE VIDEO ALMOST EVERY BIG DADY KANE VIDEO HAD DANCERS DOING CORNY DANCES LOL SOME OF UR FAVORITES WERE DOING IT TOO JUST PAY ATTENTION OR ARE U NOT AND 80'S BABY 90'S TEEN

  • @lexxcoop78 "If you don't know how to do it, you better start learnin, this brand new dance called the pee-wee herman". That was my Jam! LOL! Cats like Joeski were one hit wonders. They were not mainstream rappers selling millions of albums. You did have some corniness back then but for the most part rappers back then had way more substance than rappers today. Big daddy Kane was ill. His back ground dancers could really dance. They were not gimmick dances like this....now watch me YULE!!!

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO 25 yrs old, if this was a car you could get classic plates, lol so fresh,

  • @jbizz2828 Im one year older than this track but i love it

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO LL is a million times better than Soulja Boy but u cant be mad at Soulja Boy for making music that makes him millions..

  • @KevL215 If someone can cut a fart in a mic and make a million, God bless 'em! Their fan base is responsible. That said, what in the world are these little kids hearing when they play the songs that come on the radio?

20 years from now, T-Pain and others will be remember only for the ridiculous compositions they made. I have a friend that does A&R at a 'big record company'. She's telling me that the millions of dollars you're talking about get spent fast by the artists. They'll be broke soon.

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO What they do with the money is neither here nor there, times change faster than we change socks. There's a reason LL's still relevant, he's smart and was able to keep up with the times.

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO BAD = Bigger And Deffer, get it B-A-D

  • My brothers used to rock this!!

  • My little brother loves her more than his favorite cartoon!!!

  • yo that nig LL is the fuckin truth!!!

i think its time 2 give us some even harder shit.

  • Tight Kid........

  • Her mother knows me well her father hates my guts he doesnt know that when were alone she's always feeling on my niggy niggy niggy nuts.lol

  • Day after day I try to break that back!

  • this is real hip hop

  • da beat is sick im really feelin dis

  • Nelly COPIED that line "Now and Laters,GUM Drop's, JELLY BEANs!"

  • I-Feel-Good about Lolayy left right all nite...

  • Yeah he was talking about me back in the day, but my nickname was lollipop, not Kanday. LOL

  • lmfao....nice!

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh man!!!! i loved this tape back in the day!!!! this does make me Feel Good going back in time!!! but this is sweet and its all abouy Kannnndaaayyy!!!

ty for putting the songs from the record on youtube!!

  • love it....

  • Oh hell yeah! This is it! Sweeeeeeeeet. "I feel good.... aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh woooooooooo... about Kandy!"

  • Nelly copied LL's flow for "Grillz", listen carefully.

  • love da beat 4real

  • i know why eminem is influenced by eminem and is a big fan...when eminem was younger he sounded kinda like ll cool j...you know..i think that's why i listen to eminem..my voice is close to his so i think tht's why i'm so influenced by em..

  • thats y i had to tell ya

  • I FEEL GOOD!!

  • ....ABOUT KANDAY!!!!!!

  • nowalater,gumdrops,jellybeans. WOW!!!!!!

  • THIS IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!

  • Sounds as good as it did when it first came out! I'm proud to be a true 80's generation member-aged to perfection; Class of '87! You just had to be there to understand... :o)

  • I hear/feel you, recruitertah! Class of 1988 grad. here ('88, Stand Up!!)

As Tracy Morgan recently said on the VH-1 Hip Hop Honors award show, "I am happy to be damn near 40 y/o, because I can remember Real Hip Hop", or something to that effect.

  • Another class of 1988 here! This *cassette* was worn OUT in my boyfriends mini truck LOL cruisin with the *kickers* thumpin in the back down main street...I also saw LL in concert at *The Def Jam Festival* Ill NEVER forget it! Whodini, Public Enemy, Too short and LL Cool J!! it was fantastic!!

  • LL will always be a top notch emcee to me because of Radio & Bigger and Deffer. This dude did enough damage on those two albums to be written in stone for life as far as i'm concerned. The boy was truly BAD.

  • now or laters , gum drops, jelly beans

brothers beg for the leg she's on the chherleading team!

  • Good call quoting those two bars! Definitely my favorite ones from the song, IMHO.

  • Nelly stole that for his grills track

  • ... classic sh!t ... Yung Todd was a TERROR !!! rippin' MC's heads smoove OFF !

  • I couldn't agree more. LL Cool J was an absolutely sick rapper (still is, but most of his arsenal is love songs nowadays, much like early old-school Spoonie Gee). I always loved hearing all of the old songs he did in the battles he had with various rappers (Kool Moe Dee, Canibus, Wyclef Jean, etc.). "Jack The Ripper," "The Ripper Strikes Back," "Rasta Imposta," "Back Where I Belong" and "To Da Break Of Dawn" are still some of my favorite disses of all time.

  • now THAT'S wassup ! ;-)

  • Actually if u listen to all of his stuff he mixes it up. The fools put only his love stuff on radio and peeps are radio heads

  • true speak ... James has BEEN on that lyrical homocide ??? U can't hate the man for "flexin" with the times ??? (no pun intended) ;-) (lol) The Man was and IS "That Dude"

  • U are so right homie. Man peeps are jealous of this cat. He do books, music, movies, entrepenoir, producing(peeps didn't know this one) tv series. Battle, love rap. life, metaphore rap. alot more. And u need to hear his underground i have man!! KIT

  • Fo Sho, you know why, niggy nuts, 10 million stars, feel the beat, freestlye with the 112 beats. Man!!

  • @ReturnFromTheGrave ... LL Cool J is the 3rd best all time....classic shit
