Greyhounds are full-size at 18 mos. AKC Whippets look almost exactly like AKC Greys, but they do not have the same topline. This is a Whippet topline, no doubt about it. If you think not, either this dog is a Grey puppy, or it's the smallest Greyhound in existence, or it's just a normal-sized Whippet.

How do I know? My Whippet is the son of the #1 sire in the history of the breed.

But either way, this is an awesome, beautiful dog with an indomitable spirit!

@jilkejansen no, this is a greyhound. Whippets have longer ears and a bigger head. They are also smaller than greyhounds. He does look like a whippet though, but it's only cause he's not full grown. They reach maturity at 3 years.

I own 3 Italian Greys. Even my biggy iggy is much smaller than Dominic at 19 pounds 18". My other 2 are 12 and 8 pounds. IGs are classified in the toy group. Dominic does not appear to be a toy dog.

Also... is anyone else irritated they're letting a SIGHTHOUND run around in a fence he can easily escape? I hope for his sake there's another fence surrounding that one.
