  • hey man doing it with a pulldown rope to remove bodyweight is an AWESOME idea! I"ve been doing these for months and never thought to do it like that! God I love youtube!

  • great idea, will try

  • Put a bench in front of you. Slowly lower yourself towards the bench. Push off the bench if you must.

  • Hello, I'm using the weight cause I can't do it with my own bodyweight.

  • you could do it off ground and push off the ground

  • Yeah, but those are such a pain to set up.

  • true

  • check out frank yang. he does some good ones too.

  • Good idea...and I'm sure effective, but I think the goal is to hit the point of failure which you can't do when using the assistance of the cable and weight.

  • I agree when you say that I most go deeper BUT, when you can't go deeper in the beginning.. I think this is a perfect way to start with it and get used to it.

  • ok guys. this exercise isn't impossible without the assistance...unless ur a fatass with a huge upperbody and weak little legs. its a body weight exercise that really builds your glutes for strength. so many powerlifters use it as a supplement exercise. great for the squat if anyone wanted to know. so dont be a puss and stop using assistance. be a man lol

  • Well imagine if the cable pops, you'd end up with your face on the ground! lol

    I'd not do it hehe

  • TIGHT!!!!!

  • NICE!!!

  • Yeah it's a great excersize, i've read about it on a dutch bodybuilding forum!

  • fantastic, I never evn tought of doing it on this

  • That's an awesome idea buddy! Like the setup for the assistance!
