@hewymann ....... yes, with the newest technology, they achieve this with ease. I'm astonished, how power goes up and fuel consumption comes down :-)))
@hewymann I recently bought a 1999 5.7 LS1 Trans Am. Everything is factory on it, and its an automatic. On the way home, which was about 150 miles, I got 28.5 mpg. Even when I give it some fuel to show off the corvette motor, and when I speed, I still get an easy 18 mpg city. Its all in how you drive a car, as much as it is physics. As an example, the same sized motor in a truck would not do so well. I sold a ford truck with a slightly smaller motor, that got 10 mpg.
I don't get what's so magnificent about it. I could do everything a Hummer does in a Toyota, and most of it in a Suzuki... except the mine-field thing of course...
good for you, if youre implying that the toytoa and hummer are equal, then the only difference really is the cost which to some people doesnt matter, also its american
yes while most toyota/jeep sized vehicles can make it the places a hummer can, they cannot do it while maintaining a gross vehicle weight of 10,300lbs, a hummer also has an amazing wide footprint, allowing less than trained people to be able to get places and do things in the vehicle without rolling it over. They are truly amazing!
I dondt like to tell it, but you are right on this one. But...take a look at the new Corvette, Challenger, Camaro, Mustang, they are not bad cornering...but they guzzle to much gas.
@aliabideen americans make plenty of fuel efficient cars dipshit, all cars are built for a purpose, Europeans seem to think every American car is a muscle car and they are not. and these trucks werent designed to be driven through the city, no suv was. Even still, i have had no issue parking any suv i have ever driven, earn to drive better and you would have no problem parking a truck.
EXACTLY!! jeeps cant do anywhere near as much as hummers and hummers are more durable, they are bigger(more room for guns personnel and wounded) and they are equiped with some of the best shit you can buy
well jeeps arent that bad, i do love hummers but they do get stuck sometimes and at least the jeep is light weight and easy to pull out, i have a wrangler i know
such a car and you should not, people buy HUMMER and travel through the town and complain about how expensive fuel is, for example, when the barrel of oil was $ 150, now $ 36, but only a matter of time until prices rise again ... you grow up, because when the oil will then disappear ... we need to preserve something for future generations;)
nothing, not to drive so wasteful cars might not be led war in Iraq, would not send their soldiers to death because of "black gold" ... the beginning of 2008 the Chief King Ford was a Ford F-150 and now it's Ford Fiesta .. . America and China are the biggest consumers of oil in the world, and thus also the biggest pollutants, we need to keep the Earth for future generations, for our descendants!:)
Buy you know allready, that for example, a lot of 4x4 are starting to have startstop automatic and hybrid engines and consume 30% percent less fuel ? So, it's a good way to go. And, first of all, remove the dirtmakers like China, wich open each day SIX cole powerplants a day.
Those buying a Hummer or a Ferrari don't use them in every day life. For the daily usage they use more economic cars nobodody scratches when they'ere parked, as happens with supercars. They even scratched my Honda S-2000 that is not a supercar. People are envious.
something else, a jeep similar capabilities such as HUMMER, which consumes much less fuel, such as Toyota Land Cruiser 3.0 D4-D 173 Hp (410 Nm), which consumes 12 l/100km, and the Hummer H1 spends 30-40 l/100km .. . Now I know you will say that Toyota is weak, because you Americans love big volume and 8 cylinders ... not only to give an example of a Japanese car, here is an American jeep that is not spent a lot of fuel: Jeep Wrangler / Statisticin 2.8 CRD 177 HP, spent 15-odd l/100km
Thank you. This was in 1997, every one who owned a Hummer at that time, could visit the factory, get a tour and spend 4 hours with a driving instructor. For FREE !!! Good ol' times :-)

I disagree. For the average person, the H1 is the way to go. If you're lucky, the H1 alpha

nice video, but HUMMER was crap, are heavy and too much spent fuel ... the best car - a car that consumes little fuel!

Which car has the same capabilities and takes 'little' fuel?
Grow up..

So you should not buy Ferrari nor Maserati, Porsche and Anston Martin. Indeed those who buy these cars don't give a shit about fuel.

What are you babbling about? Who buys H1 and complaint about fuel. H1 is powered by turbo-diesel and doen't take much fuel at all.
