I lived in Hornchurch Court in the late eighties. My regular pub was the Red Admiral. Does anybody remember the landlord and landlady Peter and Cath.In those days I was so skint I used to but a cig for 5p from Salim's store near the Kingdom Hall.I can laugh now but, bloody hell, those were hungry days.

Hi Demoondelaney. Some of those names you mention are still there today, Browns, Riggs Etc, you must remember Samsons, Ryans, or how about Fazzer, a Relation of mine nowadays, he lived on City Rd opp Shawheath Close. Your not a Million Miles away Cheers Mate for your interest. By the Way who is your Grandad, I Live in St George's Kevin
I'm still waiting for someone to video past the Junction and up to the old Radnor Street. Guess I'll have to do it myself-yes, I think I'll bob down and see what's going on. Very glad to hear that the folk of Shawgreen are the salt of the earth-no change there then since I last skipped along the pavement. Jo
So nice to see the trees and flora in Hulme. Of course I see the houses that were, where the new houses are now, but that makes me glad and not sad for Hulme. I can never get my bearings as regards Shawgreen-my favourite uncle married a girl that lived between the Legs o Man and the old swimming baths but that was on the other side of Stretford road to us 'posh' lot. Such a nice video of Hulme and thanks. The Shadows? By gum! your as bad as Agnes!
