  • Great song' Great feeling ' fk ya ' call Black music ' learn something white twats ' cheers from hong kong

  • Now that's how you write a song! Gives me the goosebumps!

  • Thanks for posting! It's always so cool to see Buddy Guy on TV, let alone doing a really good tune with a message, and further more, (Can I get a witness!) his drummer Tim Austin using my Slug Percussion product, a Uni-Badge, on his snare!

  • When Buddy smiles he lights up the room.

  • @Junky53 Oh ya I always said that. I've had the absolute pleasure of seeing him several times and all I can say is WOW, It's like a religious experionse you come away smiling for days.

  • You can buy that exact gutar on musiciansfriend

  • ok i love buddy but not crazy about this

  • Anyone know the name of the drummer in the Buddy Guy ban? He blew me away when I saw them live in Melbourne the other week!

  • Why have I not ever listened to Buddy Guy before???????????? Better late than never I suppose

  • as soon as he started singing i got chills.. really, the singing is so emotional!

  • What kind of guitar is that? I want it.

  • electric sitar

  • i hope i get to meet him one day....that'd be pretty awesome

  • I said this on another version of this song. This song is to Buddy as Purple Rain was to Prince, Little Wing was to Jimi, Cold Shot was to SRV...................

The music, lyrics everything straight from his soul to his fingers..........................

  • Not blues, uh?

  • Buddy moved Letterman. 5 stars

  • Buddy is the blues....He is a tremendous talent!! Great song with a great message performed by a man who knows how to express his emotions brilliantly.

Going to see Buddy perform in New York this August...can't wait.

  • Skin Deep, What a Beautiful Song! The Lyrics are so fitting. Absolutely Lovely Song!!

  • he played that song on saturday night on the same guitar great performance

  • This man is music....

  • whats his guitar

  • i thinks it's an eastwood

    but it might not be

  • I think it's a coral electric sitar... plays like a guitar but has the sympathetic strings like a sitar... I think he was using it because the sound kind of resembles the slide guitar on the studio recording, just my guess

  • and hes frickin 72 years old in this video!!!! how does he do it??? he looks like he's barely 60 and can out sing and out play so many others!!

  • @BigGameChuck Cause he loves what he's doing!!!! keeps him young.... Buddys the best there is!

  • WOW

  • I feel like I here a lot of Otis Redding in this song.

  • So touching. it makes me cry.

  • school is in session people.. :) just awesome

  • really good song, wish I wrote it

  • buddy's voice is incredible in this performance!!

  • Buddy is a national Treasure. One of the best musicians of all time.

  • A living legend to be sure. Buddy, Otis Rush, Freddie King, Johnny Winter and of course Hendrix are my 5 favorite blues guitarist's of all time!

  • Albert and BB King are pretty damn awesome as well.

And although he doesn't get as much fanfare, Hubert Sumlin is a great guitar player...and James Lane (Jimmie Rodgers) laid down some nice licks with Muddy Waters and others.

But yea, nothing wrong with your group.

Luther Allison is great...Gatemouth Brown...and Magic Sam is great.

I've always liked Johnny Winter a lot...and he has done so much to promote the best music in the world...

  • You tube makes you want more... seek more...ultimately buy it to keep it.

  • Buddy guy es uno de los mejores Bluesmens que a dado la historia, gran tema, gran guitarrista, sigue asi!, un saludo desde españa!

  • Buddy's voice gives me goosebumps!

    Thanks for posting!

  • It's great seeing Buddy Guy doing a kickin' version of this great song on live TV (well, live when it happened). That guy's still got it!

    Loved Letterman's last line.

  • Awesome song ! thanks BloodNGutts for the share

  • Boy is that true today

  • Buddy was just in my home town last month and i had to miss because of business (kick my ass) but the harvest jazz and blues fest is one of the best in the world!!

  • hes playing a sitar, great song if everyone would listen to this song and the vaughan brothers tic toc the world would be a better place to live

  • Not really a sitar, but an electric guitar customized to sound like a sitar. Check out Ravi Shankar for the acoustic version. Loved seeing Buddy use this though. Like the old 70s R&B stuff. They all sound great on this. Ric Hall on guitar, Orlando Wright on bass, Tim Austin on drums and Marty Sammon on keys !!! I Love Buddy !!!!

  • amen Buddy..amen

  • amazing song... not just musically but the lyrics are very powerful... one of the best late night talk show performances I have seen yet...

  • Holy ...

That's the way it's done, folks.

  • what kind of guitar is that???

  • Yep 5*z allright. Buddy Guy. He knows it...he feels it. ~cg5

  • Thank you so much for posting. I wish everyone would send this to all of their contact lists -- business, personal, black, brown, yellow, white, republican, democrat, libertarian, progressive, green. This is deep and powerful, reminiscent of Sam Cooke decades ago. We are not only all the same, but all in this together, as this song/blessing so warmly reminds us. (note: best watched in high quality)
