  • The Jive Bunny loves the blues and all that Jazz...LOL

  • Say what you want about John Mayer... but this dude can tear it up. Just sayin'.

  • I catch so much crap from my buddys when I tell them that I like John Mayer. They only hear the commercialized stuff that plays on the radio but they dont hear the true guitar slinger. Mayer even said he would rather play the blues if it could make him as much money. I'm glad he does performances like this to help the younger generation realize where the roots of rock, r&b, rap, metal, ect.... comes from!

  • @dfrai ohh man, i get made fun of all the time for liking mayers work. i feel your pain, i will be at the gorge tomorrow seeing him live. so stoked. he is one of the best guitarists of his generation with out a doubt.

  • @dfrai very true

  • @dfrai i get crap too! but i ve seen some people come around, and theyre like hes good, and im like ive been telling you this for like the last 5 years!

  • sends shivers down your spine even after 10 views

  • GOD.

    john mayer is from heaven.

  • EC was incredible, so was Robert Randolph.

This song was great, he had everyone dancing!

Great day out, the bestest birthday present.

  • I had never heard of Robert Randolph before that day. They were surprisingly good! I only really went too see John Mayer! :)

  • @Rees473 I had never heard of Randolph, Mayer or Jason Mraz- all blew my mind haha!

  • brill video! thanks for uploading! this gig was awesome!! i was around this sort of area. this is a quality song.

  • Haha I hope we do get the folded-arms guy on here, that was pretty funny. John likes to shout things at the crowd. Like "show me your boobs" once, according to YouTube, which was also hilarious.

  • were any of you the guy with his arms folded thinking "this guy has no right to be on stage with eric clapton"?

  • if you're referring to the old guy next to john... thats not eric clapton. and if it was, john totally deserves to be there. 100%

  • no' I reffering to something Mayer said to a guy in the audience folding his arms at the gig "this thinks I have no right to be here, I'm gonna try and prove him wrong"

  • ohh i getcha. thats awesome

  • mate i swear it was my mate!!!!!!!!! we were so buzzin cus he was lookin right at him when he said it! youve just made us remember that cheers!

  • Soundandfury25-

The "old guy" is a Brit and peer of Claptons. He is Robbie McIntosh. Check out his bio on wiki. He's played for many guys over the years, and does session work. Great slide player.

  • Can anyone confirm the identity of the bass player? he looks like Dela, but is it? Or does the new guy resemble him? Thx for the great vid. I like the earthiness of this version.

  • merrynolin,

The bass player is Sean Hurley...

  • On the screen they played duffys version of mercy before john mayer came on:P Coincidence? i dont think so!

    Hes so good!

  • I noticed that while I was there too :p

  • I were totally surprised over how easy it was to get close to the stage! This concert made an huge impression on me!!! :)

  • i was there too! at the front. i like his version better. it sounds more sexual. you can feel the sexual tension lol.

  • He does pull some stupid faces when he's playing though

  • Its all in he grove man

  • agreed!

    WHAT A CONCERT

  • i was around that same sort of area, brilliant view! that gig was insane!!!! he does a great cover of this song!

  • Awesome day out, I got completely sunburnt but it was so worth it. Mayer was amazing!

  • Excellent cover, different spin on the Duffey song and a thoroughly good day out. Good solo!
