Are the band playing a different song to the guitarist. About as tight as a sock inside a wellington.

Probably a great guitar player but nearly every contestant just plays boring shred. Does any one note make the hairs stand up at the back of your neck ? Anyone can play a million notes up and down a scale.Why dont they put their talents to better use.

@sultansofcalifornia Jack Thamarath won the year in question, and yeah, I think he'd make a hair or two stand up on the back of your neck. Jack has awesome tone and taste, but can still shred. I agree most of the contestants don't say much with their shredding, but Jack really took the whole thing to a different level.
