I went to this school in 92-96 after graduating school in Japan. My Lehigh experience was absolutely fantastic. The teachers were great and the students were really inspiring as well. Very happy to find this video! Thank you for the video, great work its a good reminder of my college days.
Hello Pete. I'm not sure we ever met, but I attended roughly the same time as you. I sympathize with your problem with the stairs (!) [Perhaps Lehigh's only negative.] The way I dealt with it: I under-dressed (relative to the temperature outside, before I went out in the morning)...but the slope does provide for some great views, and interaction with the town below (they don't typically build towns on hills...) Allentown had nothingt to do with Bethlehem, let alone Lehigh. Mack Truck was in Allentown. Bethlehem had the Steel, which the unions flushed down the crapper..
The song "Allentown" specifically mentions Bethlehem. Plus it has that mimicked steel mill sound that reminded me of the steel mill when I was at Lehigh.
It only mention B'hem...."standing in line". BTW-Daddona, the Mayor of Allentown, noting that Mack Truck had left the Valley actually wanted Billy Joel to pay Allentown royalties.

Nirvana played here at the Stabler arena on November 9, 1993. I was regretfully born on 3/27/88, so I couldn't really enjoy this band at all back then at 5 years, 8 months old.
