  • How can I go about getting this sound chip/circuitry for my soundless alum sonic?? Thanks!!

  • gay

  • That ones so rare that it's worth 300 dollars on eBay

  • any chance you have the schematics for the sound board?

  • It took me two years, but I made one that could actually turn screws. Well, some types of screws anyway heh heh. The key is a lot of sound; about 140 dB or so. Preferably lower ultrasound; say 12 to 13 kHz in order to get things exciting. But I could never get the switch to work nearly as well as this one. Or look so good either. : -)

  • @DoctorOrion1 urrr... yeah right....

  • were can i buy 1?

  • @roloboy97 try forbidden planet

  • @roloboy97 You can by the 2 latest ones, and The Masters, on Amazon

  • Very cool; I wish I could afford one of these for my sonic screwdriver collection, but I'd bet it''s a bit out of my price range:)

  • @mysterg good news, character options have released a 3rd doctors sonic screwdriver toy

  • That is orgasmic.

  • you know if it had sound ibuilt in it would increase it's value if you're paying that much for a prop I want all of the functions

  • @ryananderson280195 Most of the parts for my screwdriver cost less than 20 bucks but the transducer was a special item so the whole thing came to nearly $400 for a working sonic scrwdriver. That includes having a machine shop do the four main parts and the knob out of aluminum bar stock. It may cost more these days now that the Bush monster destroyed the economy.

  • thats quite large is that a 1:1 replica?

  • Very cool where did you get it

  • wow thats amazing!

  • How do you make me insanely jealous?

    Posting this video, that's how!

  • where did u manage 2 get that

  • the 2nd doctor used this cool looking small silver one that lit up at the end, there is a picture somewhere i think it is on the doctor who wikipedia page.

  • I really want a vibrator shaped like a sonic screwdriver. That would just make my day.

  • Nice,...

  • sweet

  • I want one :P

  • This is the fourth doctor's sonic screwdriver because the 3rd doctor's had a section with yellow and black stripes on it.

  • how much did that cost?

  • Which time? The sound system was an upgrade to the original build so I paid for it twice; once for the prop and once to add the best tiny sound system ever.

  • Thats' the screwdriver.

Nice WHO item, don't let anyone tell you different.

  • Yey! That's a sight for sore eyes! It looks like it could have genuinely been invented by the Doctor with a bit of scientific know-how! The sonic screwdriver they use in the current series has a ridiculously wide variety of uses, including "sudden cliffhanger resolver".

  • now that's the screwdriver I grew up with

  • that's an old one

  • Hey, that's the original Sonic Screwdriver!

  • they redid um and now only 200 left prop replicas:)

  • @kyon813 Not the original. The original was first used by the 2nd Doctor, it looked like a very thin pen with a very small light at the end. This Sonic Screwdriver was first seen with the 3rd or 4th Doctor.

  • @kyon813

No, the original looks just like a small pen light.

  • @kyon813 Nope the original was Pertwee's and that had a stripey black and yellow emitter.

  • @kyon813 actually its the 3rd tthe origanal looked similar to a penlight

  • @kyon813 Technically not the original, but it is from the classic series.

  • @kyon813

    No it's not.

  • @kyon813 That's the mark IV, there were 3 predecessors.

  • cool

  • Its the original one.

It was first shown with the 3rd doctor and got destroyed by (i think) by a sontaran during the 5th doctor's era.

The doctor didn't have another one until eccleston

  • i think it was destroyed by a tetriptil in the visitation

  • Something like that

  • it was

  • the new sonic screwdriver has a blue bulb and wave amplifiers... that sort of stuff. the old one looked like this and was introduced by the 2nd doctor, grown somewhere. i think inside the tardis, someone correct me if i'm wrong. it changed throughout the series and the new "blue light" sonic screwdriver was introduced by the 9th doctor in the 2005-2009 still running series.

  • It was the orginal one, from 1-6 doctors

  • The Original is so much better than the new sonic screwdriver.

  • i dont know why people have put thumbs down on your comment i mean its just your opinion. character should reales a classic sonic screwdriver for collectors like they did with that metal masters fobwatch which was a limited production

  • ...ME WANT!!! I have a solid metal one that was SUPPOSED to be 1:1 scale but judging by this video, I was sadly mistaken! Wherever did you get this?!?! I know you mention where the sound chip came from, I'd love to get one even without the sound. Still...SUHWEEEETAAAAH!!

  • Do you have a prop TCE?

  • That is quite frankly fabulouse, very well made.

  • where the crap paist did u get that

  • That is beyond cool!!! ★★★★★/★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • Holy crap how much did you pay for that?

Whatever it was I'm pretty sure you got a deal, that thing is amazing!

If they started making those I'd probably pick one up myself.

    That is an amazing prop!

  • they made a white plastic version of this!!!

    but metal is betta!!

  • WOW that looks so much like the real sonic screwdriver

  • Damn, that's one NICE looking prop!

Hyperdyne does do some FANTASTIC work! You should see their PKE meter kits...!!!

  • that is so cool where did you get that

  • Could you not have used one hand to show it? When you pulled it back it made me cringe =S

  • its the original sonic screwdriver first used by the 4th doctor to the 8th doctor (mite be even earlier, im not good on "old who" knowledge)

  • ahh ok ty

  • it was first used by the second Doctor, destroyed in the fourth Doctors time for being to useful, and then re-introduced in Doctor Who: The Movie i think

  • The Second Doctor used one that just looked like a simple pen light. This version, with some design,;/colour differences, was first used by the Third Doctor. This particular version was used by the Fourth, then the Fifth. It was destroyed, and not seen again until the Eighth Doctor. The current model is the one we're all used to now.

That being said, this is THE best replica of the original I have ever seen!!

  • Do noy deny it Hyperdynelabs you are Tom Baker :)

  • It was Peter Davison, 5th, who had it destroyed to an android.

  • @technogamer18 pertwee had one too i think

  • @qqqCYBERLEADERppp ah yes. .. sorry. missed that lol. should have remembered it after such great moments in the sea devils and carnival of monsters..

  • @technogamer18 actuarlly hate o be a nerd but the sonic was fist used by the 2nd doctor when the tardis went gaga!

  • I must have this.

  • OH MY GOD, i've never seen an original SS with that level of accuracy, and sound!!.... you know that feeling where you actually think you NEED something...

  • Tom Baker

  • Sorry for the ignorent question, but which doctor(s) used this one?

  • It was used by Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Peter Davison. It was destroyed in a Peter Davison story (The Visitation) but it made a brief reappearance in the 1996 movie, when it was being used by the seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) to lock a box containing the Master's ashes.

  • awesome, the original one! i saw one on ebay once

  • do you have any instructions on how to build this?

  • have you made anymore i want one

  • Focus!
