  • WTF was that?????????????????????

  • The killer is diffrent than the killer found out at the end I wonder why that is.

I have a firend called Paul Tag. Hes says hes only half gay. He likes men that look like woman,

  • JUST WHAT POLITICANS WANT TO DO TO AMERICA. NUFF SAID

  • this movie was of course disturbing due to the murder aspect and what gay people were forced to do, due to the ignorance of so many people who hate anyone who is different. it was a very realistic movie and the acting was superb! gay's should be left alone to live their lives in peace! gay marriage should be legalized everywhere and i love it when they adopt children. i am 63 and some of my very best friends are gay(male and female)and with such good souls. thank yousoso much for posting!

  • @dogcat126 I hello I have a 27 years and I thank you very much people who fought an your age. We must continue to fight for other things now but you did much

  • thats when u get aidz see u at the gathering

  • This is horrible but truth to what crazy freaks are all about. I didn't know such a life existed when I was growing up at that time. I was so boxed in with not knowing there was a life outside of my neighborhood. This movie tells what was going on back in the day. I'm sure somewhere these things are still happening we just don't hear about it.

  • This is genius. Honey boys keep it up!

  • this song belongs to a different time

  • James Remarrrrarrrr!!!

  • Let's not forget that the artist here, Deejaypeeplay, has created a techno montage that repeats "deep, deep, down inside" as sex and grisly murder are intertwined. I'm not sure if it's macabre or Mapplethorpe-esque brilliant.

It's hard to watch these scenes, as was intended. The level of violence, especially with the naked guy in bed, is the kind of stuff we'd see with NC-17 movies. You're asking for trouble with this level of violence.

  • @umbrella0326 Not thrilled about the violence and stabbing here either.

  • also at 3:39 - always thought that murder was truly brutal but now I notice: the knife goes in, the blood trickles down his shoulder but when the knife comes back out it is clean! makes it less disturbing now :-)

  • holy shit - once you know those penetration shots are there (in the porn cinema murder) you can't help but see 'em - INCREDIBLE that he got away with that!!

  • I remember the protests this movie inspired. At the time I thought they were silly and didn't see the movie. Now, I see just how right they were. This is appalling -- a total smear job on a vulnerable and maligned minority. Anonymous sex was considered common, but not serial killing. Who directed this movie, Ted Bundy?

  • @DCFunBud The director was William Friedkin, he also directed Boys in the Band and the Exorcist. Cruising seems to be a combination of the two. I happen to Love this movie, the remastered DVD recently released is Superb!

  • i agree,, in boston the famous fens ! allo over the world but also a death threat....

  • This is my Shit!!!

  • Cool Movie and song

  • this was a pretty gruesome movie.. halloween had the razor blade in the candy scare this was the gay trick version of that

  • This is great.. !

  • At 1:53 & 1:55 you can see where William Friedken managed to get hardcore penetration shots pass the MPAA.

  • the guy who was doing the killing he was gay right? did he hate his homosexuality or what? have not seen the movie in a long time

  • It's worth revisiting...I don't think William Friedkin ever intended the identity of the killer to be definitive. Different actors play "the killer" during the murder scenes which leads one to believe that there may be more than one killer. At one point it even seems Al Pacino's character may be involved.

And yeah, I'd say whoever it is he's pretty conflicted about the whole man on man thang.

  • conflicted is an understatement he flat out crazy.

  • @KnowThyself24 The serial killer was gay.

  • Daaaaaaaaaammnnnnnn this is hela good song..

  • heheh

  • that movie gave me nightmares, especially the scene when the dudes in bed and tied up.

  • My only nightmares came from knowing there are men out there who would wear a cowboy hat with a jock.

  • lmao wtf ahhhh this movie is confusing someone needs to post the whole thing al pacino got a lil afro goin on in this movie lol

  • ABSOLUTELY BERILLIANT 'HOUSE' TRACK PLUS the FILM-'CRUISING' is ALLMOST AS GOOD-is based on true story about a gay-guy killer in Noo Yawk-check it out...dickvanDYKE

  • BERLOODY BRILLIANT TRACK!the FILM 'CRUISING' is CLASS TOO! V.I.C

  • talk about ruining a song for me! wtf was that

  • hey thats james remar at the end

  • commenting fom an nitric butylnitrate induced just kidding oh she is snap say what bonzo 76

  • I LOVE THIS

  • who was the killer?

  • Pretty fucked up!! Makes me think twice about visiting the harder core bars of the Gay scene. I think this movie made our community look pretty freaky.

  • It was intended to do just that actually.

  • Yeah but don't forget Jeffrey Dahmer looked gentle, went to vanilla bars, and look what he did. Most tough guys are teddy bears really.

  • the MAW track is classic and the editing is clever, but c'mon, don't you think you're exploiting/trivializing the brutal sadistic murders of gay men as a mere visual motif to your house set? that's kinda tacky and uncaring. Just my two cents.

  • This song / edit was merely a portion of the entire "set". Take a look at some of the other videos from the series. The set was a study of a film which WAS exploitative and protested by many communities at the time it was made/released.

  • Time to wake up. 'Cruising' was a very accurate depiction of what was going on in the gay community of NYC 1980 and any gay man that thinks differently is living by the "ignorance is bliss" rule. Homosexuality isn't ALL rainbows, low carb food, wine, and self-absorbed flamboyancy. And yes, I'm gay.

  • ShlockJock81, your statement should be amended to say that was a very accurate depiction of what was going on in a certain part of the gay community. I lived in NYC in the early eighties and I and most everyone I knew did absolutely nothing pictured in this film.

  • @lasktguy Like I said... "ignorance is bliss".

  • Actually I think knowledge is bliss and knowing what's true is also. Your blanket statement is the ignorant one. Sure there was a part of the community that was like this but there was also a part that wasn't. That's the true statement.

  • @ShlockJock81 -Correction. What was going on in a small segment of the Gay Community, just as it was going on in the Straight Community, ("Plato's Retreat" ring any bells?)-Stop hating yourself and your own community. This film was/is a smear job.

  • @ShlockJock81 I disagree with you. No one is saying CRUISING was inaccurate for showing so many sexual escapade. It was inaccurate and homophobic because it explicitly linked gay sex with a desire to murder. Not because it showed a gay killer. Just watch it again and see what happens with Pacino's character, or watch how the knifing is explicitly compared to gay sex. It's not hard to see what the film's agenda was, and it's not overly reading into something to see the obvious.

  • @mattrett Your right, the film has some inaccuracies, but mainly linking murder with gayness, somehow Homophobic.

  • @mattrett I agree.

  • @ShlockJock81 And neither is some aspects of heterosexuality.. you find disgusting scumbags in all walks of life!

  • @ShlockJock81 And your evidence to support this claim is... What? A movie based off of a novel, as in a work of fiction? Please, present any historical, factual, and credible evidence you have to support your claim. Otherwise, you do realize that your depiction of what was going on in the NYC gay community in the 1980s is technically nothing more than poorly attempted fear mongering.

  • @ShlockJock81 The message of the film was that homosexuality was a psychotic problem. When Pacino 'catches the gay' at the end, he doesn't just become gay, he becomes the killer. The message of the movie is that gay and killer are one in the same. Why? Because the movie says that both are psychotic problems.

Sorry, but this world wasn't one of bliss. it was a repressed people's only way of having a community in a society that suffocated them.

Understand your roots and have some respect.

  • Great movie funky house trax

  • who is that guy?
