  • WOW that N&W RS5T is Impressive to hear

  • K4JW, the Soo Line Railroad also used roadswitchers on its passenger trains.

  • WOW great sounding Leslie!

  • Need some grease in the tripod?

  • @randommagnum I don't use this one anymore. I have a new one which is ten times better than the old one. :)

  • @m611martin

Good, well I still drive it every once in a while you have to be a volunteer first with the museum in order to do it.

  • @m611martin

You need to stop that tripod from making that noise. Also I have driven that locomotive 2x now. xD

  • @npadul30 Haha, yeah. I've got a new tripod and a new camera. Cool. :D I bet it was a great experience.

  • From what I understand, didn't the N&W use roadswitcher diesels on its passenger trains after retiring the Class Js and other steamers in 1959?

  • @Petemonster62 yes, they only had very few car body diesels that they got through mergers, most N&W passenger trains were powered by road switchers ,the reason is they didnt start buying diesels till later, because they held on to steam so long.the last Y6b operated in may 1960, by this time the hood unit{roadswitchers} were all the rage!

  • @Petemonster62 yes these Tuscan Red units replaced the J class Unfortunatlly

  • In 1:11-1:13 there seems to be a steam engine in the background blowing it whistle, or is there some other reason?

  • @m53dy9 That was Flagg Coal Company 0-4-0T #75's whistle you heard.

  • Always liked the N&W tuscan diesels.

  • Got to say it one more time, love that horn!!

  • Awesome horn!

  • Love the whirring of the GP9 engines, nice catch on the horn too!

  • I took a ride in the cab once it was awesome especially for a N&W such as myself.
