  • wow the creators of this game made it look like: Mario drowned and it’s all your fault!

and that animation it’s very creepy, like some actual drowning victim

  • i hate drowning so much

  • combine this animation and Sonic's drowning music and you got some scary ass shit

  • yea how does this video look so sexy with perfect quality!?

  • yea how does this video look so sexy with perfect quality!?

  • IGN Sent me here

  • i love the name of this video haha

  • this game gave my life meaning...

  • How this got to the top 10 most disturbing moments of Nintendo in IGN?

  • Wow. I can imagine Charles Martinet getting physical in the recording booth when he was recording the voiceovers for this game. I imagine that he was clutching his throat when he recorded the sound of Mario drowning. That's the image that this video brings to my mind.

  • Bower's laughs like, "Although I couldn't kill Mario, I still laugh at his demise! Now Bowser Jr. remind me not to go swimming."

  • The evil boswer laugh after it all topped it off nicely

  • O.M.F.G I found this in IGN's top 10 most disturbing Nintendo moments, Birdo's vibrator among them. O.O

  • That is disturbing! You would NOT see this in a PG rated movie, that's for sure.

  • Such pleasant music for mario's death

  • Came from ign, thumbs up if you did to :D

  • clutching at his little throat, gurgling and struggling for air before slowly going limp and floating to the surface

  • @yoshieggs6 haha ign buddy :)

  • i liked the part when he drowned :) boolah boolah bllah...

  • Mario is simply the best at drowning

    watch?v=XCUVb7FHNko

  • Gamesradar, anyone?

  • lol I would always make Mario drown on purpose when I had this game XD

  • I think Mario Galaxy's electricity death is much worse. That one doesn't even have a body. Just a skeleton.

  • @QWERTYCommander

Yeah, I remember that, that one was pretty scary. They made it rarer to get in Galaxy 2, most of the time it's him falling down, but sometimes (pretty rarley though) you get the skeleton animation.

  • damn..

  • The first gruesome death in videogame history.

  • for a mario game thats an awfully gruesome drowning animation D=

  • @MischiefMeerkat Well, if you drown in Super Mario 63 (a computer game) you will change your opinion about his drowning animation.......

  • @MischiefMeerkat

They dumbed it down to something that sounds like a yawn in Super Mario 64 DS.

  • Mario's Adventure Ends. In the saddest way

  • could've been worse. they could've cut straight to the surface and have Mario float up face down. that would've been traumatizing.

  • Are You Serious?

  • Miyamoto makes the difficulty "easy for kiddies!" but on the other hand, has no problem letting em get traumatized by watching Mario drown lol.

  • This was some scary shit back in the day. In previous games he could breathe underwater for the long 300+ seconds, but actually seeing him die a real death...that's just wrong

  • blub! blub! blub! XP drowned :D

  • mario stayed underwater one minute and sixteen seconds

  • he is an inspiration to us all

  • LMAO! on another note, this was really gruesome to see when i first played mario 64 and i was like 11 or 12.

  • @iisthemoose HOW DID YOU GET THE 16:9 SCREEN FOR THIS GAME? PLZ TELL ME!

  • @ButtonM4sh3R You can toggle the aspect ratio of most games in N64 Emulators

  • @iisthemoose

    yes he is

  • @Bad11Kid Considering how deep he went... that's a long-ass time. That's a shitton of pressure on your lungs.

  • good drowning vid probably the best i've seen on youtube

  • mario is sso strong
