Global Warming is happening, the question is whether humans have had any influence on it. I personally think that there is a lot of money on both sides of political spectrum trying to influence governments and people on which projects to invest in (I.E. Clean coal plants or wind fields). Wind energy makes more sense to me because farmers can use them on their fields around their crops and sell excess energy. Maybe... even enough money to stop getting their Agricultural subsidy.

Why does the word "admits" appear in the title to this video? The word admit infers acknowledging a mistake, an error, or a lapse in judgement. But FOX News never never NEVER reported global warming as truthful science! FOX News was always a leading skeptic of Al Gore and others who claimed global warming as fact. I would like to mention that the investigation into the CRU (The research unit in question) has concluded that there was no wrong doing, the data was not corrupted in anyway, the other research units that cross exterminated with the CRU, including The Royal Society, also have done separate investigations and again concluded no wrong doings. As a side note, the UEA claims that humans affect global warming - they support the idea that adding greenhouse gases heats the Earth and that the Earth has an increase in temperature.

I do not know where you got your information to say East Anglia show a cooling trend but what I said above is what the UEA has released to the press, to its students and any college students like me who ask. You may be mistaken with a different research unit? not the UEA. After all, there are many.

There will be an investigation into possible tampering of the results (Although the Royal Society, who peer reviewed the CRU's work and are helping with the investigation, suspect the media may have got the wroug of the stick). However, the results released by the CRU do not show a cooling trend. However, my first reply is still the most relevant.

You know, I live in England and even quite close to the University of East Anglia. What I find completely outrageous is that one research unit is said to represent the science behind all of global warming.

Not only are there thousands of research units which cover global warming, not just the UEA. Is everyone meant to be shocked they may have lied on their results? Every research unit lies, depending who funds them. But even oil company funded research units have said global warming exists.

The question isn't whether the warming is taking place, but rather *where* it's taking place. Recent research seems to indicate that over the past decade deep ocean water has been warming.

Co2 reflects infra-red energy back to the surface of the planet then shouldn't it reflect infra red energy back from the sun thus counselling itself out?

Its not a mirror. CO2 "absorbs" the infrared radiation traveling in both directions as physical heat, then re-radiates it back out in all directions as radiant heat. 2: Many periods of warmer & cooler weather (and higher & lower CO2) have happened for 20,000+ years.

3: The Mars polar ice caps grow & shrink with the Earth polar ice caps, which means warming & cooling is primarily caused by sun changes.
