  • I AM MUSLIM YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL I LOVE THAT MY CHRISTIAN SISTERS ARE COVERING MAY GOD REWARD YOU

  • thanks sister, i just found out that in the new test in 1 cor that women r suppose to wear a head covering, i never knew that all my life at 50 years old, but it says in church, im trying to find a scripture wear god says everyday u r suppose to wear a covering, u r doing a good job

  • what do I do when my husband doesn't want me to wear a hijab type covering? which priority do i choose? so i am being submissive to my husband and just wearing the doily type. shalom to you and yours.

  • I am happy that you make these video;s.

I desire to wear a headcovering but my family shall make real war with me when i do... how did it with your family?

I feel so sad, i dont have no freedom!

I want to praise YAH, but if they all ridicule my covering, its maybe better to not cover my head because they get problems with God if they ridicule my covering... its so terrible

  • @dienaarvanYahuah Don't worry, cover your head if you want to, there is nothing wrong with it. I'm sure that at the end of the day, your family will still love you, and you will love them, dont get mad f they make a big deal about it, they'r still ur family, and when you are an adult you can do it all you want. u can do it when u r not around ur family to start off, & wear it more and more often if you want. If it's something you want to do, u shouldn't feel ashamedbecause it is not a bad thing

  • @dienaarvanYahuah No sweetheart, that's persecution. It's normal. The devil always makes war with Christians. The bible says all those seeking to live a godly life in Christ will suffer persecution. Please don't let persecution stop you from obeying God. It's better that you suffer for the name of Christ. Remember Paul said we ought to obey God, not men.

  • Hi Anna, I love this video, ditch the doily. I am glad you are brave enough in your kind way to say it. I wore a doily for awhile, and later took it off completely, wondering why did I bother with it at all. It just felt silly after a while. I wear scarves now and love them.

  • Very Very Nice! God bless you. You are a very smart women and i hope all is well for you and your family. I wish more women would practice these traditions. Greetings from Detroit!

  • I think that you are right. You are a blessing. I been covering my head with a hat or bandana. Your headcovering looks nice.

  • I think that you are such a blessing to all women of the Faith. I am a man so I get a bit of negative response when I comment on these matters. I was talking with our priest on the matter of the headcovering and he also believes that our sisters should cover their heads because there is great blessing in this obedient act. Do not let others ever discorage you and remember the angels are all around us.

  • Praise the Lord Sis I too was convicted about my covering so I too began to wear a more modest veil and sometimes I wear a Hijab I think it is beautiful and to you my Dear Sister Continue to cover God Bless you and keep up the great work!!

  • may God bless you for your sincerity. I hope you will never fall prey to Muslims who want to lead you to the "Truth".

  • your very beautiful with this headscarf and that's a very pretty one

  • Sister, I pray to Allah to please open your heart and mind and guide you to the TRUTH.

  • Peace my sister, there is truly a spirit that the Most High is sending on how He wants His daughters to look. I am an Yisraelite and we practice the full headcovering. Take a look at my lessons on the headcovering and let me know what you think. I totally 100% agree that we must do as we are lead by the Holy Spirit.

  • You should wear the covering as you feel lead to. No matter what someone else thinks.

  • HCG I love all of your posts. You are an continued inspiration to me. I basically wear my head scarf in the Islamic style while I am at work and in more fun and relaxed out side of work. I am OFW Baptist. We are not given at particular style, size and or color to wear . So if I wish to wear my head scarf in the Muslim sister style I may. If I wish to wear a hat I can, and I will be still following GOD's word. I could careless what the world thinks of my style...It is not for them!!!

  • your covering is so beautiful. Where ever you go men recognize the authority on your head. The Lord must be very pleased with you my dear, God bless :-)

  • Thank you for the kind comments! It made my day brighter!

  • Orthodox Christian women are praticely no different than muslim women in modesty and glory all praise be to Allah our Lord

  • Hi Hijabi. It's not just Orthodox Christian women who cover. I'm Protestant and I have covered all of my life. In my family, some of us don't even wear pants becuse they are not considered modest. Anabaptists cover too and their dress in my opinion is the most modest found among Christians. I personally have a hard time finding the really big ones. The one that I'm wearing as we speak is ample but it's really rare that I find one in the stores. I don't use doillies but they are cute!

  • wow that is soo cool. Honostly if you take a sample of the most religious people out of each religion you will see that all of them cover their heads with some kind of fabric. Christianity has its Orthodox, Amish, Protestants and Anabaptists who cover, Judaism certainly has its women who cover (you can see them at the walling wall), Islam ofcourse and hinduism as well if you see the hindu women cover their hair with a duppata whil in the temples, sikh women cover too!! This is Universal!! :)

  • Thank you hijabi! And yes that is true what you say! I personally have always associated the veil with Christianity long before I knew of Islam so why hijabis get all the critisicim they get is way beyond me. Ultimately, can't people wear the heck they want? It's nobody's business! It's between that woman and her God. Peace!

  • I love your videos. Thank you for this new one!

    God bless you,

    59

  • Thanks for dealing with this topic of head-covering in such a sensitive, and sensible manner! I currently don't cover, but I enjoy listening to what you have to say on this issue all the same.

  • I am also a Christian who head-covers. I really enjoy your videos. I feel that if someone is covering they should cover fully as is keeping with the tradition or the point is sort of lost. I don't understand the need in the minds of many Christians to separate themselves from Muslims in the way they cover as the Virgin Mary is our example and she wears what most would now consider to be a "hijab" look. I cover my entire head and neck most of the time. God Bless, HCG

  • Hi HCG! Showing hair is considered "Christian style". We have no command, as they do to keep the ears, neck and all hair covered. Our reasons for covering have less to do with covering the HAIR but rather wearing a sign of submission on your HEAD. The world over, this style tells the world they are Muslim. I want the world to know I am Christian. Also, I have seen icons of Mary wearing the style that I wear. I'll send you a pic if you like. :)

  • Wow, that was so horribly uncalled for Sohaila95. You've basically accused me of being a traitor to my religion! Maybe you aren't aware of the tradition of head covering and how it WAS worn for modesty, and you seem to forget that Christianity is also a Middle Eastern religion! I agree, nobody has to do anything they don't want to do....and I never said anything of the kind to anyone. I don't judge anyone. I was simply stating my own reasoning behind why I believe I need to cover as I do.

  • Huh!?!?!?!?!?

  • I'm sorry you felt so "targeted" by me, but your comment was uncalled for and hurt my feelings greatly. I hope these quotes from the Early Church Fathers will help you understand what the tradition of head-covering was originally before fashion, feminism, and secularism took over and why there is nothing WRONG with covering fully (...looking Muslim as you say)......

  • I have already sent you an PM. Honey, you are WAY too sensitive. I wasn't even trying to be mean! Please calm down.

  • Sohaila95, Thanks for degrading my feelings further by attacking my personality and character...I'm too sensitive!?!?! I'm sorry for anything I said that felt attacking to you to initiate this conversation in the first place, but please don't say anything further to me unless you have something nice to say. HCG

  • Yeah you are! And you just proved it again. If you want all your hair covered COVER IT ALL! I could not care less. I was simply letting you know how some of us identify each other. When I wear my scarves and show hair, Muslims know I'm not Muslim. BFD! Why don't you just convert to Islam, and then then this conversation will have less of a point than it already has. And that's me being nice!

  • Clement of Alexandria, AD 190-"Let the woman observe this, further. Let her be entirely covered, unless she happens to be at home. For that style of dress is grave, and protects from being gazed at. And she will never fall, who puts before her eyes modesty, and her shawl; nor will she invite another to fall into sin by uncovering her face. For this is the wish of the Word, since it is becoming for her to pray veiled." [Clement, The Instructor 3.12]

  • Tertullian, 200 AD-"Throughout Greece, and certain of its barbaric provinces, the majority of churches keep their virgins covered. In fact, this practice is followed in certain places beneath this African sky. So let no one ascribe this custom merely to the Gentile customs of the Greeks and barbarians."

  • Are you kidding? I have covered ALL OF MY LIFE! Unlike most Christian women who cover. I know what I'm talking about. Look, it's nothing to get mad about. It's just how we recognize each other. Sheesh.

  • Read the other words of Tertullian on what he has to say about women in general. It may interest you that he considered them loathesome creatures who were sinful like Eve, who needed to keep their eyes lowered in shame. He had issues.

  • Sohaila95...you are correct here, remember the woman who washed Jesus' feet with her tears and dried them with her hair? Did Jesus rebuke her for not wearing a headcovering? I think the covering is about the submission. Women covered fully in the past for obvious reasoning...water was not as available as it is now...we didn't have the convenience of a nice hot shower. So you covered completely to keep it nice and clean longer. And if you were rich you sprinkled it with lavender or rose oil.

  • This is exactly the kind of covering I have thought about doing as a Christian. Not covering completely like Muslims but covering my head and leaving my hair out (its long, so it will be easy to let it show)

  • I do enjoy your modesty! I'm a Muslimah, obviously I'm very big on modesty, and I absolutely love to see my Christian and Jewish cousins (not bioligical but through our similar religions, you know what I mean) covering! It's very refreshing. :)

  • thank you!

  • so do you recommend that particular head covering for the new beginner?

  • Snoods or cloche hats are a nice choice (depending on your hair length).

  • Very nice -- and your scarf is awesome! Love those stripes!

  • I totally have been there...nice video.

  • Awesome video. I can relate somewhat on the subject of modest dress in general. I have had these same thoughts on different skirts I have had and had to donate them elsewhere.
