Not one drummer from expert village puts any soul into their playing?!... Word to the new guys... Buy a drum machine, it'll be way more informative than any of these videos put together. Either that or listen and play along to as many different styles of music as you can and just improvise your own beats and fills, it'll get your creativity flowing quicker than any of this crap! ;-)

@beeftothetaco123 The guy in the vid is right, whether or not you feel which is importent of course, but no one has perfect timeing, use a metronome to develop time, for your muscle memory. The only time Id use a click track is when I practice with my bad (sometimes) and by myself, id never use it live, or youl get too nervous haha,

if u want to get good timing dont play along to songs u like unless its a backing track with the drums removed...its way better to play along to stuff without drums cuz u have to think about it more...id only play to songs if i was still learning how to play it...then timing comes in later

Time keeping is EVERYONEs responsibility. A drummer just marks it more. The only way to work on it is a click track while the drummer plays with the band. Recorded music is not a good idea. Try setting your metronome to a live band recoding. you'll see that it drifts off. It's a human thing. Everyone will be off a tad.
