@TheEyesOfSam I found it interesting, he killed those soldiers to actually help Snake hence the "kill a comrade" quote. But Ocelot thought it was The Boss, you can actually tell he was going to talk about the operation. He then realises it isn't The Boss.

@USMCrecruit09 They're actually speaking russian in the game but the voices are all english so the player can understand it. At one point Sokolov tells Snake (in english) "By the way, your russian is superb. Where did you learn how to speak it?"

Eh? He's the Ocelot Commander, leader of the Ocelot Unit, an elite unit within the Spetsnaz. He's not doing it to represent America, he's doing it because it's appropriate, although I am aware that he's a Patriot. I just wish he'd growled instead of meowing like a pussycat.

that's incorrect. His real name is john. He tells paramedic his name is john and also at the end of the game Ocelot asked what his "real" name was and he answered john. I'm thinking jack is just a nickname for john.
