I had the distinct privilege of seeing Metallica while on tour as the opening act for Ozzy promoting "Master of Puppets". Due to the commercial success of MOP lots of people looked for more and found it in spades in their 1st 2 albums "Kill 'em All" and "Ride the Lightning". Although there were many that followed in their wake producing a plethora of similar styles, no other band has captured or ever shall achieve the perfect distillation of raw thrash metal that Metallica did in these 1st 3!!!
