Elvis' step-brother Rick cleared this up years ago. I'm surprised people are still talking about the weight issue. He had a thyroid condition just like Jerry Lewis had. The medication he was on caused him to balloon up just like Jerry did. As so as Mr. Lewis was taken of the medication you noticed how he went back to normal. The day Elvis passed he was scheduled to start back on the road again. The medication had been reduced and he was looking good. He was working our daily and he seemed fit.

Its the inside that counts and every body who met him only had nice words to say about him. He was a very warm and caring person! It was not easy for him to carry that image and pressure every day! Elvis did not physically die in 1977, either. He says it was not a hoax and he did put "Elvis" to rest that day, so I won't call it a hoax or a fake death either ... but, the physical man left for Buenos Aires just after he "died". He stayed there for a little while, then went to Germany, then to other places, and had a lot of plastic surgery. Then he returned to US.

I won't say who he is now. But you'll know someday.

tell me about it i am 48 and quit smoking three years ago .had to give up pklaying baseball and softball a few years ago because of knee trouble .still walk daily but its so hard now to keep the weight off as i get older.when i was playing i weighed around 180 to 195.was out of work for 6 months so i gained again. now i have trouble staying below 200 i weigh 238 now.trying to get it off now that i am back to work.elvis had a lot of health problems remember.

Destination Vegas??? There was no real Vegas footage on the DVD. It should be taken out of production and the EP estate should ensure productions like this never see the light of day. Nothing more than a bootleg video. Worst DVD I've ever bought....don't touch it!

How can they be so stupid and say he wore a corset on stage? They obvoiusly don't know anything about singing. If they did, they would be aware that a singer needs freedom to breathe, his body needs to be relaxed so that his voice is free, too. A corset inhibits breathing and would not have allowed him to hit all those high notes. His voice would never have sounded as full and rich as it did if he had worn a corset.
