Ive been watching several renditions of this particular song...by far, for me you did a great job compared to what Ive seen so far. I enjoyed it completely. The only thing is...I wish you had angled yourself more directly in front of the camera so I could see your chords and playing. Otherwise, thanks!
very nicely done sir. I use to play this tune when i was in the army back in 1972. I never really learned the guitar correctly, but it works. its a beautiful song.
Please excuse me if this posting comes up twice(doesnt appear to have taken the first time) So I'm gonna try again in the hope that u can confirm taht u r in the key of D? Pretty sure I got all the chords down (thank you for that) but, I aint got a D harp and It's makin me @#^@$&@$!! crazy.
I assume it's a straight D harp awainting your response with baited coffee and cigarettes breath.
You're right it is in D and the harp is also D. I used to play it in C but found it a bit low and didn't like the sound of it played with the capo on second, so I worked it out in D and prefer the way it sounds.
I gotta tell ya, I was hooked with ur rendition of Hazy Jane 1 ( fantastic) any chance u can tell me what key ur playin this in? including the harp. The chords would be nice too however, any info would be a help, thanx again for the postings!
Unreal, this so beautiful. i have been listening to this over and over while studying. It sounds like dylan but it is so distinctively and soulfully you. im a newbie in guitar but i really aspire to sound like you one day. i never ever use a pick, just my fingers. you think this is bad and i can still get a good sound from this? thanks so much :)
When it comes to strumming a guitar, I personally think that using a pick is better. There are things you can do with it that you can't with your fingers only. (Have a look at my cover of Candy man.).
So my view would be get a plectrum and practice with it. You'll become a more versatile player.
great cover man!!!! fantastic dylan song, i love what you did with it

silly me, its your logotype! cool!
jonasjar 3 years ago
weak sound level and as a result a noisy recording - but a nice view of the machine head :) what does the logotype symbol mean? Its not yamha is it?
jonasjar 3 years ago
it is a yamaha logo, i believe. in the early 1990s they made the LD-10, which i'm guessing is what he's playing.
Sounds just fine to me. I converted a few of these videos to mp3 (and they sound fine on an ipod, too) - hope you don't mind, Jonn.
equality53000 3 years ago
You're right about the logo equality53000.
It's an LD-10E. (E -With built in pick up).
Impressed that you would know how to convert this into mp3. Flattered that you would want to listen to them.

Another early one recorded on my camera mike.
I had to turn to the side more because the sound coming straight out of the guitar obliterated the voice and harmonica on the first take.
Maybe not such a bad thing. Not so good for seeing where fingers are going though.
