@ekolarick How do you find rafter direction then? If you don't know where the rafters are going, how to do get as close to the fire as possible to vent? (I'm talking about commercial blds as rafters for homes always run top to bottom)

what if you get a tar roof and it gums up the blade to the point it stops.
