  • i have done this checkmate in the past to my sister...... so i was the one who discovered it... 7 years ago i did it

  • Fools mate

  • Oh will u plz stfu we know that already omg plz stop posting videos we know like 3 years ago !!!

  • not even a check mate its just check

  • @Tottenhamfan705 I laugh at your ignorance, look at the comments below you. It's called the fool's mate.

  • @Tottenhamfan705 No, its mate.

  • This is called a fools mate

  • fools mate!

  • Only a total retard would let his king be captured like that.

  • thier chest in my school it/s called keler elemantry school

  • that will only work if ur opponent opens with the right pawn

  • i take black side, then tell the black pones those white pones are racist, win

  • well you still castle...

  • aw f**k i blinked!!!!!!!

  • you need to be very retarded to move those pawns in the first moves

  • kkkkkkkkk bela jogada das brancas

  • if anyone were to open like this playing as white then your as freaking moron and should never pick up a chess piece again...And to people talking shit saying i do a ninja back flip and i pick up my queen and smash the board your freaking morons too

  • Can't you escape the checkmate by moving the pawn 2 spots and taking out that piece that is threatening your king?

  • @myidollop pawns can only capture pieces that are diagonal to them. They move forward but capture diagonally

  • Fool's Mate: Only a fool would move their pawns in a way where the king can't run away.

  • It's funny how many dislikes this has. Those people do not understand the intend of the video? This IS actually the fastest possible checkmate - isn't that just a funny thing about the game of chess :D? Of course it is NOT usable in real games - but that doesn't matter to me..

  • Black cheated. Like they always do.

  • Wasn't that 3 moves?

  • he could have moved the bishop in front of the king

  • @peyton11O55 no he couldnt have........

  • i do it in 1 move. i just get my queen and then smash all their pieces down I WIN!!

  • @ipodtouchacker i do a ninja backflip and knock the king down whenever im in check

  • @ipodtouchacker Um that's not on the rules!

  • @ipodtouchacker but i do it in half move!

  • @TK2008BEST i played a terrorist who did it in 0 moves, he just blew us both up

  • Also requires one really retarded person

  • It's what the title of the video says. OF COURSE IT WONT WORK WHEN PLAYING WITH SOMEONE. But it was the fastest checkmate.

  • I actually had a really good chess player friend be checkmated like this in 3 moves and was actually trying. I was watching the game online, and I notified him that it would be Fool's mate if he did that move, so he moved another piece. Next move: Fool's Mate. Everyone began laughing like crazy. Of course the n00bish opponent didn't realize until the checkmate notifier came up that he in fact checkmated him.

  • At least the 3 move checkmate is possible. Nobody is stupid to do that.

  • @DarkZerkerX agrandmaster did ,bad day for him 1e4 e5 2Qh5 Ke7 3 Qxe4 mate

  • @olejnik82

Fine it's good to know but never to play unless the guy does it.

  • I think that you may be missing his point: not that this is a strategy to win (most often)... but that, rather, chess is a mathematical exercise; and that the shortest possible route should be preferred... kind of like Okham's razor.

  • hey i actually did dis to the vp of da chess club

  • I don't recomend ever doing this even if you get the chance, it's likely to make the other player want to stop playing against you because they would give up on trying after just 2 moves and losing at one point. Always give a rookie the benefit of going easy. Now, if they're seasoned players and do this, then they deserve it.

  • wooooooooooooooow

  • lol, In a chess tournament I oppened then saw this, I got checkmate the guy was crying =)

  • hahaha..can't use this one in a tournament hahaha

  • I did get this in a tournament at school, it was quite funny to have it happen.

  • I kid you not... this has actually worked for me.... but I would only reccomend using it on people who highnote themselves but actually suck

  • It's the fastest possible checkmate, but only novices with no experience and you telling them which moves to make is gonna actually fall for this one...

  • This only works as the black player, and doesnt work against anyone but 2 year olds.

  • @DiewithAvengence not even 2 year olds xD

  • @DiewithAvengence

well he also could be 30 or 40 years old ->> with an intellegence lvl the same as a 2 year old one ^^

  • its kind of bullshit really isn't it

  • I've done this to people a few times. It doesn't make them idiots, people just tend to not focus in the starting stages of a game - they primarily act out their own starting strategy without much awareness for what the other side is doing.

  • i tried this ... i have accidentally learned 2 moves..

  • thats literally impossible you can only move 2 things in the begging knights or pawns

  • @OldChikity You can move anything on your second move, if you made it available. Good job smartass.

  • lol c'mon man! only someone who doesnt know how to play chess would open like that. its more funny then a good move

  • ОО ну такой разве что андрею можно поставить....

  • thats move is only good for beginners like 8 years olds lol

  • Comment removed

  • you need a retarded player for that to work.

  • wow!! that's really good :D

  • I lost to my grandpa that way when I was about six years old. I felt silly.

  • hey i have the same chess board =D

  • One time at school, I was playing a game a chess with my friend, he beat me this way. Me and my other friends in the gifted program play chess together , and I play chess with my dad.

  • to lose in two moves you would have to either be really stupid and not see it comming, bad at chess or both seeing as why would you leave your king open

  • I will admit I was not very good at chess at the time, but I have gotten a lot better since. I was only 71/2 when I played that game. I am 10 now.

  • ok well i wasn't necessarily saying that you were stupid but at the age of 18 i have never been taken by the two move checkmate

  • we call it in spain "el mate del loco" literally translate the check mate of the madman xD

  • lollll

  • *Gasps at white player*

    You FOOL!

  • This is called the fools mate.

  • Indeed, that was the reference. :)

  • i have done trhat once

  • sometimes occurs in the From Gambit, but besides that, never happens

  • this one is a little eccentric, at least the 4 move checkmate involves standard moves that you see in almost every chess game

  • man i did it once¸

and i was comming up whit somthing big

the goal was to gat hes pwan whit those that i vever need

    i was prety yong

  • It's very unlikely that someone will move his f2 pawn in the opening. It's the most vulnerable pawn in chess because it protects the king when he castles.

  • unless he castles queen side

  • The idea is not to play this specific variation, but keeping the pattern. In mates like the scholar's mates and this, its obvious that few people will ever play into the mate. However, it is possible to tranpose into these mates, by keeping the e1-h4 diagonal in mind. By learning these mates, you are not trying to play the specific mate, but use the patterns in combinations and sacrifices.

  • is that check???

  • no its not its called checkmate on white

  • how is this check

  • No one is going to be stupid enough to do this, u guys think your all smart with your 2 move checkmate, but when your playing against someone, it won't work. What a waste of time!

  • You could make the same argument against the 4 move checkmate. Stupidity is relative.

  • i saw similar mate in tournament game someone with 1400 raitng made that mistake

  • i know....its only useful when your partner screws up REALLY bad

  • @DarkTemptationn I did something similiar to this and beat someone in 4 so... people think too hard into the long run and 20 moves from now and forget that just in front of them, in this move, they are susceptible to checkmate

  • @DarkTemptationn agreed

  • @DarkTemptationn I just won a championshp by doing that.

  • @kakoopa wow nice dude, but seriously, u only got a 1/100 chance of your opponent moving those 2 pieces, but well done anyway =]

  • @DarkTemptationn Thanks so much. :D

  • @DarkTemptationn You would be surprised how many people can get caught out by it though and not even realise it.

I watched 2 of my mates play years ago and they done this and I pointed out to them that it was checkmate as they weren't paying attention at the time lol

  • @koca002 well i can imagine people falling for that trap, but its not common moving those 2 pieces first

  • @DarkTemptationn I agree it's not common at all but stupidly easy for an inexperienced player or even a total beginner to fall into.

  • @koca002 haha when i searched for this vid, i wanted a way to beat EXPERIENCED players =]

  • @DarkTemptationn lol brilliant XD

  • @DarkTemptationn of course noone would be stupid enough to do that...that is the reason its known as a "fools checkmate"... as it may not work on players that actually have some knowledge of the game it nevertheless still remains the FASTEST checkmate possible...

  • @Pr0diGI yer well ur not going to be playing against some1 that has no knowledge at chess when u enter a tournament

  • @DarkTemptationn Never said anything about a tournament genius... just confirming it REMAINS THE FASTEST CHECKMATE "POSSIBLE"... no matter how slim the chances may be... it's still "possible" without illegally moving.

  • Bro, they found this mate out in a GM match where he played the same stupid moves :P. But I guess it wont work again unless... xD

  • @mayankisnotcool no way, which match did they do it in, 'cause that would be the shittest grandmaster ever.

  • @DarkTemptationn

I've won many games like this against beginners

  • @DarkTemptationn i just did that to my friend haha

  • @DarkTemptationn I had some guy do this before can you say PARTY!!!!

  • @DarkTemptationn i have beaten a few stupid people like this before

  • @craigrobinson2 lmaoo what can i say mate, congratzz

  • @DarkTemptationn stop crying.

  • @foxyjohnuk im not crying about shit u moron, im angry at the fact that i wanted to find out if there is a quick way to win on chess, THAT WOULD FUCKING WORK on an opponent not playing with urself u fucktard piss off

  • @DarkTemptationn actually...lol i lost like that once when i was a noob

  • @DarkTemptationn he said checkmate in 2 moves and thats whats u get- not how to beat a grandmaster so stop crying

  • @Wismer1987 im not crying about shit u moron, im angry at the fact that i wanted to find out if there is a quick way to win on chess, THAT WOULD FUCKING WORK on an opponent not playing with urself u fucktard piss off

  • @DarkTemptationn I beg to differ it has happened once that I know of at my schools chess club. we play in the morning before school so we are all half asleep. those are the situations where it will happen. lol

  • @DarkTemptationn people will do that if they are idiots

  • @DarkTemptationn i know! why would u move your king right by a white piece.

  • @DarkTemptationn It doesn't says that this will always work or something its just the fastest way possible to checkmate someone..

  • @anoniemepokermon yeh ur right, i mustve just been pissed off that day :L

  • @DarkTemptationn i think this is more meant to be used against people who aren't very experienced at the game and don't think of possible outcomes of their moves.

  • @DarkTemptationn actually in my chess club 8 out of 11 ppl fell for it

  • @DarkTemptationn I've done 2 move checkmates a shit ton of times on the internet....some people try new things and don't think what they're doing. Yes, It's unlikely you can do this with decent players, but it can be done

  • @DarkTemptationn it's not a waste of time because although this mate will never happen similar positions will arise... this basic demonstration shows the weakness of the kings king-side diagonal.

  • @DarkTemptationn umm, yes... But an idiot challenged me and lost to the fool's mate.

  • This is a great trick to have in the back of your head. If your opponent plays F4 (which is highly unlikely, it is usually E4) you can counter with this quick move. As long as your opponent plays F4, you have it in the bag!

  • yeah, i beat one noob some years ago in this style

  • no u didnt

  • STFU

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiceeeeee

  • Congrats for winning yourself! Tell yourself I said congrats!

  • Whoa! my bad... I was totally wrong... that's totally a legit CHECKMATE!

  • why do you even post? you obviously dont know jack about chess

  • idk... hmm

  • Comment removed

  • yeah but not a lot of good chess players are gonna start out with bishop's and knight's ponds.

  • or pawns for that matter
