Bloddy hell how many orange connecters do you want!!! lmao can you use yellow half moon connectors instead?

yellows should work fine for the middle bit- as long as they point 'up' (away from the handle).

(just dont built the top piece- plug the gap with a gray connector)

you can also replace the bottom row to orange pieces in the handle.

-and the two in the scoop can be replaced.

(only swap the wings as a last resort- it'll jam the bands up)

if you want it cheap- go for places like ebay, yard sales, carboot sales, ect...

-if you buy packs of just mixed up knex you could fine one or two.

i think they're from those knex sets with the little guy in them.

they're in a few sets- like the cyber knex set. (you can probably get packs of gray rings on ebay)

btw; 1 gray ring= 3 blues

How do you keep the tension on the rubber bands the same when you bring the plunge back? I put alot of bands on the sides- equal amounts- and the plunge keeps bending in some way. Help!

the rod will always bend slightly

-but start with a few bands, and test it.

-then add a few more.

sometimes its just a case of weakening a bend (just streatch it 30 times)- to adjust the balance.

if all else fails- replace with a steel rod

this gun is amazing!!!! i took a yellow rod and cut down to the part with the ridges with a pair of tin snips then i superglued sewing needles to it it can stick into a box from arms lenght wth only 4 rubberbands.

instead of the black rod, could you use the next size down rod? i think it is red, would it work? because i don't want the rod snapping and going through my face or something :P

the black rods are really difficult to snap

-and when they do, they fly towards the gun.

a red rod would do the same job, except it isn't long enough to launch the ammo in the scoop.

if you do that, just put a rod in the barrel to use the scoop.

this ususally works:

hold the bottom of the handle and fire with your other hand

-or-

make the handle longer (blue/yellow rods)

attach a connector to the trigger

loop a string through that connector- so you pull the string to fire the gun.

you can replace the orange bits on the front of the handle with yellow, white, or blue bits if you need.

if you leave the spiky bits pointing up, you can repalce the middle row of orange bits in step 5
