SUP paddling is definitely a very intriguing sport and has been enjoyed by many cultures throughout the world for hundreds of years. It's lately that it has hit main stream media and is now becoming very popular among yoga enthusiast and whitewater addicts like myself.

My friends and I run every whitewater river around NY. There's truly nothing like it. Coming from a kayak background I'd have to say, sup paddling is far more exciting & gives twice the high :p w w w . inflatable-sups . c o m

sadly, to me, this comes across as an infomercial.

One of the things I don't like about it is that they need to rely on leashes as they are unable to hang on to their boards. Also, I have yet to see one paddle out the back when it is over head high without a channel, and they also have problems in strong offshore winds, for those reasons I don't agree with Gerry Lopez.

Also, excessive thickness spoils the feel of a surfboard in my opinion.
