  • OMG!! 3 stupids, don't like this... maybe all days they listen justin bieber or lady gaga justin bieber, + lady gaga + jonas brothers = SHIT

  • i love the verve!

  • and 3 people confirmed they're deaf...

  • love this song!

  • thegoodteacher(dot)com

  • linda demais

    better than oasis

  • linda demais

  • Richard makes such deep music. It's insane when you try to wrap your head around this song. Just so overwhelming..

  • Its so beatiful, so sad.. but I need to hear it!

  • wonderful montage :)

  • I see houses... my house....your house...our house...the One that has sealed in my blood, sweat, hair ,shadow, heart and soul..up on that sacred hill under the sun and the stars...i have buried myself there for eternity..to sleep with you each night of that life...

  • dont understand the radiohead and verve comparisons... even coldplay and verve is a bit of a stretch... All these bands are excellent so enjoy them all!!

  • they sound nothing like oasis, sure competitors in the 90s with wonderwall and bittersweet symphony but ashcrofts vocals are better, not the whining voice of liam, dont get me wrong, oasis was around longer and has a lot more albums but the verve just have something unexplainable. both awesome bands, love em both

  • This guy should produce a movie with Julia Roberts in it...naked, but tasteful.

  • @TheLurline23 thats deep lmao, good idea

  • my girlfriend would love the picture of the swans making a heart

  • good video

  • love this song sit back and spark a joint

  • reassuring and inspirational....kind of like a song that holds the meaning of life...this and naked eye by the who

  • qui de bonnes lyrics

  • this song is pretty fly, this is my favorite band. to bad i didn't know them till 2009 and now i am such a huge fan, i hope they get back together

  • cool material in the Forth

  • i think most people agree that forth grows on you, OK songs like sit and wonder, rather be...stand out......but the rest really takes you somewhere mentally and spirtually.....

  • Great montage, this is one of my favorite songs, can't hear it enough...never get tired of it...

  • I don't think this record is great by a long shot, BUT, I've always believed in quality over quantity. Coldplay has put out a string of so so records (progressively worse, I really only thought their first was very good). They never came close to reaching the heights of Urban Hymns. So it's sad in a way to see such genius incapable of achieving that which they did in the past, but I will always believe that it is better to have loved and lost...Mr. Ashcroft, I salute you.

  • almost all of my favorite albums, or music where not realized at first. I like that about them it allowed me to understand the depth the artists had gone to weren't always easy to reach without time and understanding. Great montage I thought it was part of the album at first, it fits great. As a photographer I love the images, they really show emotion ,if anything it made me like the song more.

  • nicely made video thanks this song deserves a good montage. Forth is actually pretty good it's a grower. You still can't beat Urban Hymns though it's an epic and emotional album.

  • luv.

  • just heard this song been played in shameless on channel 4

  • Nothing short of mesmerizing. Gives me goose bumps every time I hear it.

  • It's too bad they've broke up yet again. At least they left us with Fourth, a damn good album.

  • YES!

  • SUPERB!!!

  • i like it so nice

  • Why do people have to compare bands like Oasis,Coldplay, the Verve and Stone Roses all the time? they all make great meaningful music just enjoy for fucksake and be thankful we have people like that in a music world dominated by Kanye Wests and Joe McElderrys.

  • First of all don´t get me wrong I think this song is great but the first version I heard of this was that at Eden, and it sounded like something from A Storm In Heaven and when I heard the album version it sounded more soft, it sounded like something of Richard´s solo albums. This is a great song but it could´ve been a fucking great song by the Mighty Verve if they had keept it more greety if you know what I mean.. I´m danish so apologise for the wrong spellings..

  • The Verve are by far better than Coldplay and yet Coldplay are the biggest selling band out there - fuckin bullshit

  • @Torreslegend I like the verve, but coldplay has really good songs if you actually listen to it. Which ones have you heard to make your thoughts on coldplay so negative?

  • @maggierefic I like Coldplay.

  • @pokepoop awsome! What songs do u lk?

  • @maggierefic Like, loads...I guess my favourites are Yellow, Trouble, The Scientist, Clocks, Speed of Sound, Violet Hill-my absolute favourite, Viva la Vida, and Lost!

  • @pokepoop cool =) good choices

  • What is wrong with, "Very nice, thank you" ?

  • Grat, I love it!

  • coldplay is a minor band for girls, U2 were good but now they're sell outs, oasis has two excellent albums and then only some good singles, radiohead is doing the same boring thing since amnesiac, that avant-garde indie depressing shit and they swear because of that they're at the level of pink floyd or something.

the verve is better than any of those bands, because they're original, honest, and not trying to impress anyone, they know what the art of music is.

  • calm down dude!, Its like I was trying to compare the verve with the beatles or something like that.

  • what are you talking about? my comment was about what the users "pokepoop" and "ntn777" said.

  • You take the point ;-)

  • Very well said

  • Perfect comment.

  • Quality song and nice video.. thanks for posting

  • beautiful track, took me a while to get in this album, its not UH. but its quality, and now i love to listen to it...

  • awesome lyrics and photos

  • This is not for neophytes...

  • ok, better than Coldplay and U2 I agree, maybe than oasis but NEVER, repeat, NEVER better than Radiohead.

  • Yes, they're better than Coldplay

    They're DEFINITELY better than U2

    Lots better than Oasis

    And yes, better than Radiohead.

  • @pokepoop Thats so true!

  • @pokepoop ahhh i love the verve and they are my fave but remember coldplay might not have been around as long as the verve but coldplay never broke up, u2 never broke up, radiohead never broke up, those bands accomplished more, had the verve never broken up they would still be together surpassing all these bands, but i love the verve, no no compares to them.

  • @playerdepimp None of that matters...The Verve are still the best thing to happen to Britpop

  • @pokepoop erm you cant compare bands (i should know I am in one) and like all the above bands you mentioned. I love The Verve. But to say what you said, well is frankly bollox lol

  • @headwork2008 You very well can compare bands, the same way you can compare anything you like. What you mean to say is that I can't compare them objectively.

And oh my god you're in a band, how fantastically irrelevant.

  • @pokepoop So, if I said Headwork are better than The Verve, you wouldn't argue with that statement? Maybe you should've added the proviso that it is your opinion that the Verve are better than the bands you listed. And exactly how irrelevant is it that I'm in a band? Knowledge of how music is thought of, produced and presented is kind of relevant when assessing differing musical styles and bands I would have thought. But hey. Perhaps you know better.

  • @headwork2008 No, what right do I have to dispute your opinion? I can agree or disagree, but ultimately it doesnt make a difference.

And that is why its irrelevant to me that you are in a band. It doesn't make music objective. It does admittedly give you more of an insight into the production of music...but I hardly see how that makes a difference here

  • @pokepoop To be honest with you mate, I can't be bothered to give a sh*t. Peace.

  • @headwork2008 If you don't give a shit, don't start an argument...

  • @pokepoop fuck yeahh ;)

  • Great song and really good job with montage and choice of photographs.

  • Good job.

  • The Verve is so much better than Oasis,Radiohead, Coldplay, U2 that is the truth!!

  • i don't know, i personally prefer oasis as i don't think the verve have made enough songs like this, but i think there best easily matches oasis's best, but to be fair there are thousands of people who prefer the verve to any of those :)

  • such a powerful song..ashcrofts voice lifts it all the time

  • Richard is amazing. God bless your heart ...

  • I didn't " flash" the first time i heard this song, but now I DO LIKE IT ****

Like the melody, slow, the lyrics... The idea of karma and reincarnation... This video, some pictures, the strange feeling in the mix with all that ***

  • No, I DO LOVE IT !!!!

Richard tomorrow is your birthday, 38, THANKS A THOUSAND TIME and MORE, for elevating souls so high beyond all what can disturb and make sad §§§

So deep must be your heart to sing this way such songs...

May you be happier than ever, you deserve it for all that sweetness and love u give to so many people...Greatest job ...

    WE LOVE YOU ***

  • love is noise, and rather be, and this one

    all of them rock

  • Good song but I think Appalachian Springs is the Best song from this Album...

  • It sure is. This is one amazing album. All the songs, especially Love is Noise, make me feel so good. I see the world in a different light when I listen to Forth. It's hard to explain...just like all beautiful music I guess.

  • 3:45 - 3:55

Reminds me alot of 'Check the Meaning'

    another good song by Ashcroft

  • The piano riff in this song is the best i´ve ever heard...:-)

  • I love this track just another genius song from the machine that is The Verve

  • This song is hands down the best on Fourth...I was drawn to it the first time i listened to the cd...its epic, melodic, emotional and inspiring :D and Richard's voice is amazing on this

  • wigan boys done good!

  • The Verve are so underrated,Richard Ashcroft is a genius in songwriting. I think this is their best song off the album.

  • Never heard before they were underrated, at least after Urban Hymns they're considered the royalty of british rock

  • My point is they should be known alot more than they are, they're brilliant. They deserve more credit, Oasis,Radiohead and others get more attention on a larger scale.

  • @SirMontyBagger Believe me, they are not underrated. This is a very average song that only fans will love.

  • adoro esta canción y el cd de forth!!, es lo mejor¡¡¡

  • The verve is so under rated and i like it like that they are my secret escape. Epic song anyways!

  • then whats the best song on this album?

  • APPALACHIAN SPRINGS!!

  • this and rather be as well

  • And Noise Epic ;-)

  • you must choose brave warrior, you must decide

  • 2nd best song on this album

  • I love this song, long live the Verve!!! Beautiful pictures also.

  • lovely stuff!

  • verve are bigger than jesus

  • great fucken song..the verve is awesome

  • magnifique

  • The Verve have always been an incredible band to me. This song is the one that stood out to me from the first listen, it's fucking brilliant from it's lyrical depth to the soaring chorus...there's real emotion behind Ashcroft's voice

  • sounds more like Richard's solo stuff

very similiar with a country thing...

J'adore everything he has done musically

  • Absolutely divine! The finest of many fine songs on their new album.

  • 웃♥유

  • this is a great song!!!! The verve have one it again!!!!!

  • Beautiful song.

  • I think your montage is very close to the 'feeling tones' expressed in this song. I am initially finding my feelings about the new album somewhat disappointed...:seems a little bland'..is a quote I agree with. but I have a feeling this is a sublime work that will not sink in until alot of listenings. You did a great with your pics

  • Thanks all of you who are liking the montage =] I agree, to love this album one needs really to let it grow on them, its takes time but I think its a really good album, and most of the songs are great work of music.

  • @Anukis18 most of the Verves work is like that. Oasis I didn't like at first now I love em, Same with the verve and the doors. It takes time to appreciate and understand genius work.

  • Good video and great tune :)

  • Nice pictures. I like the song, i dont really know. That makes me think about "depeche mode".

  • this is such a grower xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • love this song and album so much, i love richard ashcroft he is a very talented musician his song you on my mind is amazing xx

  • Find the Ashcroft songs on this album a little dissapointing, maybe with exception of "Appalachian Springs", but the Verve songs are just as brilliant as ever.

  • what do you find 'dissapointing' about them, out of interest?

  • Like valium skies now, but the rest just seem a bit bland to me

  • there better than ever ,listen to the lyrics

  • dont think your listening to the verve then xx

  • Yeah i wanna take this comment back, it's very good album, real grower, Valium Skies in particular is gorgeous, thats my pick for next single

  • my favourites alapacian springs but like a lot of verve songs its not commercial enough for mainstream charts, the verve are for the intelligent only, love em xxx

  • great album, took a while getting used to but definitely great to have the verve back!

  • Good vid, great song!

  • Some feedback/comments would be much appreciated =]
